  1. Super 98 octane is 1.09 Euro here 😇
  2. Yes. Colour code 8X9. Spanish license plates are white with a tiny blue stripe on the left with a white E in the bottom of the stripe (very close to same blue 8X9) and with black numbers. Designed especially for blue cars 😇
  3. If the numbers also are in black then I could understand that it would be difficult to read from a distance 😁
  4. I like the red one. Too bad the license plate is yellow. People making these have no taste at all.
  5. One thing I know: I did not put the badge on it. I would not know from where to get it, and if that makes things better for some I may remember wrong. I was in 1970 or something like that. My first car. Expensive it was, for me then. Searched the net for Morris Marina and the one I had does in no way look like the ones I can find.
  6. Sure the one I had was a Morris 1300 and I think Marina was written on the rear, but sporty it was not; bought it used. Not even that long ago I would call it sporty. A friend of mine had a mini cooper and that was sporty. 10" wheels or not, acceleration was like a jet. It was a fun car. He never let me drive it.
  7. Only Fools and Horses are so old that I saw the shows while still in Denmark. Suppose I can get all the TV shows that are seen for free in various countries when VPN is adjusted to that country. Fools and Horses still running? First car was a Morris Marina 1300. Looked like this as far as I remember: I have had many cars also and now I try to run as environment friendly as I can to make up for all the pollution I have made in the past.
  8. Remember that not all of us in the forum are qualified mechanics with a complete workshop home. Still: Lexus is quality. 27 years is just the beginning. In 23 years it will be 50 😇
  9. I was born in Denmark. We have been living here in The Canary Islands since 2005. Just searched Reliant Robin and found out it is the 3 wheeler that Mr. Bean constantly is abusing.
  10. Where I come from you need to be 18 to have a driver's license
  11. Did not say I liked the ride quality. It was soft and comfortable, but kind of: go fall asleep. Tyres on the car I do not remember, but probably French and thus Michelin. Ride quality was far better in the MB (not softer) but it is not fair to set a car up against one costing so many times more. The DS would have been a soft comfortable ride no matter which tyres would have been on it I am sure. The MB had Continental tyres but at that time roads were not good and if the tyres were noisy I do not remember.
  12. Softest ride I have ever been in was a Citroën DS something (long time ago so do not remember) with air suspension. In lowest position, it was a sofa and in highest, it could cross a river. Want ultimate luxury: MB 300SEL 6.3L. Air suspension super comfortable seats, beautiful interior. Both these will be hard to find in good condition and where the DS was not super expensive in fuel the MB was.
  13. The 2018 is a facelift compared to the one we have so why it is different is not for me to know. Can sit in the chair and chose any of the 3 possibilities for seat adjustment we have; nr. 1 for my wife, nr. 2 for me and nr. 3 for getting out of the car easy. Ask your Lexus service. Maybe one can find a way to adjust the very many possibilities to pre-set the multitude of things in the cars.
  14. CVT is great. The paddle shift in Smart Roadsters was also excellent. Never had a problem with that. Wife used it fully automatic while I preferred to use the shifters on the steering wheel. The old MB's I had, were not shifting very smooth.
  15. The Golf had only 6 gears and riding automatic it was good. Going downhill it was good using the manual possibility to reduce the wear of brake disc and rotors. The problems as far as I have heard came with the ones with 7 gear in them. Do not know of the later with more. Remember to keep the service intervals. Automatic gear need good oil. Why some believe that Lexus never need new oil in transmission is not for me to understand.
  16. Reviews are written by people. People are different. Some are influenced. Once worked in a company selling BBS wheels. For general use BBS recommended Continental. Both companies are German. Have had good experience with Continental. Not quiet not fuel economic, but strong and did last for the abuse I was putting on them when younger. Now looking for a quieter ride and tyre reviews are confusing as same tyre can be everything from good to bad. So though I have always thought that next tyre for the CT (came with Pirelli P7 on) would be another Continental I am open to a quiet tyre with best possibly handling and braking and am confused like many are. Fuel economy is not easy here as too many hills go up most of the time 😇 Living where we live a summer tyre is all we need. Not that the in this forum very recommended ClimateControl could not be OK was it not that it supposedly is great for winter meaning it might be made from sticky and possibly soft components which would explain that some say it is falling apart. I am confused too.
  17. Beautiful. Why is it that 2-doors cars always looks better?
  18. The one we had was the targa model from 1986 or 87 and it was a disaster. Engine light was yellow on as soon as speed was above 160km/h, when taking off roof part the chassis was loose and steering terrible, with roof on it was OK. Engine could not be fixed in Spain, France or Denmark as Toyota in these countries did not yet sell the model. When we went to Switzerland where it was bought we did not bother to get it fixed but got a Nissan ZX instead. With roof parts off Nissan was still perfect on the road. First Lexus is the one we have now.
  19. As long as you do not have skin cancer there is no need. That was the reason to get it for us. Should we need to fix the wheels we either get them i car body colour or some kind of matte dark grey
  20. Had a Golf 2.0tdi DSG that went 200000km without problems in the gearbox.
  21. LLumar make great UV protection film and professionally fitted they are completely invisible. Unless you chose a tinted. Then they look just like darker windows. We have invisible in the front doors and slightly tinted in the rear windows and sunroof.
  22. Absolutely. Not same cars. Had a MR2 1st generation, then a Supra 3L and finally a MR2 Spider. The MR2 cars were fun, the Supra boring and nothing in any of these were of quality comparable to the quality in Lexus.
  23. Do not expect that. Recaro stay firm. If you fit in one they are perfect. The one in our CT has lumbar support
  24. With all the Lexus you have had; we could maybe learn more from you than you from us. Welcome here.
  25. Good luck with new battery. Of the many reasons to like Lexus: cars more than 20 years are still going strong. One here for sale for 2600 Euro has more than 300000km on it. Quality is quality.
