  1. Never trust a politician any further than you can throw a full grown African elephant uphill.
  2. Japan is not getting speed up about fully electric cars, so it could be suspected that they are having something else in mind. Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota are not stupid and sleeping on their laurels. Japan is still making excellent electric engines and gearing systems and they could be thinking out a smarter way of powering cars (and ships and airplanes and…) than from the stored power in a battery. Battery production is polluting and ingredients for batteries are getting more difficult to find and digging the ingredients for batteries out of the ground is getting more expensive, what worries the most unfortunately. As long as producing electricity is polluting (maybe not quite as much as oil driven cars) the Japanese car makers might be thinking of another kind of fuel that possibly could be made less polluting than the existing today. Electricity has the problem that it is not easily stored where it is produced. The longer the wires from place where it is produced to place where it shall be used the greater the loss. Looking forward to seeing the next kind of fuel and expecting it to come in cars from Japan.
  3. Welcome! You bought a Black Lexus? Black is beautiful. They are great in all colours and we are happy with the one we have and hope you will enjoy yours.
  4. Easy to see: Extremely uggly! Something OEM or like that OK. Something else is not interesting. But thank you very much for showing.
  5. Any idea where to get them for a CT?
  6. Will they fit a CT200H? 5 minutes install? Are you Merlin? Or is it really easy?
  7. http://poledglobal.com/shop_view/?idx=10 If nothing else works this could be worth a try. Can be used in summer for cooling so heat probably would go through.
  8. Does Lexus not have something you could have installed OEM? All the parts that needs to be installed will make the electronics in the car having problems I think. Not that I know what infotainment is, but suppose it has something to do with listening to music and watching something on a screen.
  9. Have Android 11 and not much different to 10. Have an old Galaxy Note with 6 and the biggest differences between the older and the newer is that, the newer they get, the more spam is on them. That has to be removed (which not is easy for everybody that want it). This is the only socalled social platform I am on, and solely because we have a Lexus. No Facebook, Instagram or Twitter or what else there is to risk getting virus from.
  10. Absolutely a very beautiful car. Would love to try one, but would not like to pay fuel for it. This is my all time favourite car. A Ferrari without 12 cylinders so Enzo did not call it a Ferrari, but I think it is a masterpiece in design. Unfortunately out of economic reach.
  11. Had a 2.5 D with 3.0 on the rear in 1982. 5 cyl. First car my wife was driving, not even automatic.
  12. It was 1964 - 67. The 190 was the most reliable taxi. We sold so many of them that Germany congratulated.
  13. The Nissans I had were all made before 1984 and do not think they were with Renault then. And none of them were diesel.
  14. Thought you say that MB is not reliable?
  15. Is that still made? We used it in 1967 when I was working with MB.
  16. I was driving a Reault 4 in Africa and it was good on the bad unpaved roads.
  17. Agree with you on all except the Bluetooth. There is quite a quality difference between AUX line in and Bluetooth. Or something is wrong with the Bluietooth I have heard so far. Quad electrostats deliver the best high- and midrange I have ever heard and the amp from Quad is at least as good as from ML. A DAP is a DAP and no problems with not wanting one. A good quality phone with Neutron will give good quality music line out to AUX in. Maybe the new Bluetooth systems are getting better but so far I find that line is better. Bluetooth is more convenient of course.
  18. I like the colour. Wife wanted this from our old Nissan: Daughter wanted Ferrari red or pink. Luckily they did not agree and let me have what I wanted.
  19. Hi Richard, If you have separate lamps for high and low beam there should be no use for 3 terminals on the bulb.
  20. Right now I use a S8 with Neutron installed and feeding the MarkLevinson through the AUX input. My DAP is damaged and have not yet had the funds to buy a new one. Sony Walkman (no not the cassette player) Sony NW-A55L has one in acceptable price level (according to my wife) and should be capable of reprodusing 24-bit lossless 96kHz in OK quality, but a real DAP usually will set you back with as much as one of the expensive iPhones, that can only reproduce sound in MP3 quality. In noisy cars that is OK, but in a hybrid that often is close to silent with ML audio in I think that is not good enough. Unfortunately you have to download that quality of music or buy Blu-Ray music as a CD is 16-bit and 48kHz. Better than that quality is only possible live or in master recordings.
  21. Have no idea if previous owner or used cars saleman put it on.
