  1. Modifications have been slowed by the decking and a holiday, as those both took priority, however I did manage to sneak in one upgrade before June and that was a brand new RCF mirror to update the older design. I also added a little F badge to the carbon bootlid.
  2. So after some time away, a decking project and a month in California, I thought it best to update the build thread I forgot I'd created! So after having issues with discolouration in the lacquer of the SARD wing (I'm very fussy). I decided to remove it and to my delight I actually prefer the car without it and the unnecessary drag created by the wing. I also got a drone and took some snaps!
  3. Thank you! I forgot I made this thread, time to update!
  4. Not completely but almost. There's a knuckle in a very well placed area of the shaft that is removed, and this gives you the space to replace the drivers side header. It's a clever little addition that certainly helps. Today I managed to fit both headers in place. Tomorrow I need to run the O2 extenders after I've heat wrapped the wiring. I also have new RR engine mounts that are going in. Not to turn this thread into my PPE install story, but it's a manageable task if you can get the car up high enough, and you have some good air or power tools, and good mechanical know how. I think this is important to say because install costs might put people off from buying the set advertised here. This is a lengthy job, but you can do it yourself, which will save you a lot of money.
  5. RHD and very different because of the steering shaft that has to run through the middle of the drivers side manifold.
  6. Halfway through. Started yesterday afternoon. All stripped out now ready for the install.
  7. That makes sense mate. Totally understand. Yeah I found the headers whilst in the States. The guy wanted to get them moved on desperately as they were worthless over there. I bought an extra suitcase and flew back with them lol.
  8. For that price, no. Too close to the RCF and although a later model, the interest is lacking in the UK, hence why some sit on the forecourts for a while. Nearly 30k for an ISF just doesn't seem sensible to me and I own one. I'll happily watch them climb over 30k if they wish, but I can't see it personally, not with the impending financial gloom.
  9. Hey man, sorry I never got back to you. I ended up finding a set for 1k in the States and brought them back with me. If you sell the intake separately and the tune I'd be interested. Thanks.
  10. You're one of the lucky ones and I'm so happy for you dude!!!
  11. Sorry to read about this. First 'performace' Lexus I've heard of being targeted. Looks like people are starting to work out the rarity of them and their cost in certain parts of the world! I hope you get it back or at least the money it's worth in insurance. I'd like to think they wouldn't have broken into your house for it, but you can never say for sure.
  12. I had similar from the front left corner. Couldn't put my finger on it after constant testing. I changed out the old OEM shocks for coilovers and the noise went away. Can only assume the old shocks had seen better days.
  13. I'm looking into a drone to be able to expand on my photography. With a road trip to central and southern France in September with a few mates, I really want to add some more diversity to my images. What drone do you have? I'm looking at DJI's Mavic 3 Pro. My main concern is image quality as opposed to what the drone can do performance wise. Lots of research to carry out my end!
  14. Yeah I covered everything I've had done. Even miniscule pointless things. Someone I know said the same thing you did about PPE film. Couldn't quite believe it, but if they can get out of paying, they will!
  15. I usually do this but on principle I switched anyway. I can't stand the fact that they can magically give it to you lower if you you're leaving, but not just quote you that at the start. Yes I know about business, etc, but it annoys me 😂
  16. I just negotiated mine with Admiral with all mods declared. A lot cheaper than my previous insurer who also wanted over £120 more this year.
  17. I always listen to real world opinions on vehicles, from those that live with them, then I test drive them. I find car reviewers and critics flip flop all the time with their opinions. Plus we all have unconscious bias, preferences and differing needs. I found a review on the ISF that stated it had a confused identity of not being either an all out tarmac terrorist or a gentleman's cruiser, and as a result this was a reason to take points off the board for it. Oddly I absolutely love that about the F range. Nothing better than being able to leisurely drive around in auto at a relaxed pace, then drive onto track in manual and hoon it.
  18. I think they're limiting the show size because of complaints. 4,000 cars last year and not all of them are well behaved.
  19. Yeah for reference dude, when buying PPE headers, as standard they're all LHD. RHD units are custom build and cost more. It's actually an option when choosing the extras you want, such as ceramic coated, equal or unequal length, etc.
  20. Fantastic cars and some really good information here. Not much more I can add. I've played with mine quite a bit and won't be stopping, so if there's any questions you have please ask away. Some really good points raised by Linas. People don't often consider the OEM parts when they purchase a car like this. I have kept all my OEM parts because of this very issue. ISF parts are hard to come by in the UK. You'll be ok for some of the serviceable items, but it can be a challenge finding other parts. That's where RockAuto.com in the States helps out. They're Fantastic for parts and all costs include taxes, so no hidden fees. Good luck.
  21. I'd be interested if you do decide to let them go.
  22. Sadly options are limited unless you can find a custom company.
  23. Thank you Shahpor. Lexus created such an amazing car with the ISF, but I just cannot help putting my stamp on her. The best bit is having a place to store all the old OEM parts, so should there be a day I want to return her to stock, I can do.
  24. ....and finally, last weekend involved a drive out to Silverstone for a Coffee Run event. Having a few weeks away from driving the car really made me appreciate what she is and what she can do. Even nearly 2 years on and driving her is still an occasion and fun. I've toyed with replacing her, but to move to an RCF seemed like a waste of money for very little changes considering where the ISF is now and other than the run of the mill and common German equivalents, I find myself in the happy place of not wanting to replace her. This year will see PPE headers and an RR tune, plus a full service and some more weight saving modifications, plus a trip to the south of France and plenty of shows. Thank you for catching up and viewing my post.
