There will be imported black ISF 2014 on the market soon. I am really curious how much it will go for:)

The only 2014 in the country, but sadly I think only a current ISF or previous ISF owner would understand that. Hopefully it gets sold, but it's in the wrong country. They'd go mental in the States for that!!

  2. I drove through France and Belgium with a straight piped GS430. The car was even checked over by police at a services as it was on airride and decked at the station. It only had admiring attention and one of them recorded me leaving.

Leaving Belgium, the police attention was high due to the event we were at and we had no issues.

Bar the obvious (speeding and being an ASBO in built up areas), which I'm assuming you don't, you'll be fine, trust me.

No bother. I went ahead and fitted it anyway. On first start up I thought I was after making a massive mistake but it settles down quickly and, as you say, has a beautiful V8 roar to it. It's a massive improvement.

I'm surprised by the lack of drone and how quiet it is at cruising speed but how vicious the sound gets when you are on it. It's not quiet at all when giving it the beans but not really any dronier than the stock exhaust when cruising. The car gets noticed a lot more now alright which for me is a good thing. It was too anonymous before.

It also feels significantly faster than before with the remap. Great modification. Engine mounts were well worth doing too.

    That's awesome mate!

I said to a friend of mine that the upgrade made the car feel like a more modern powered sports saloon. It's the best upgrade I think you can do, especially adding the the USRS bushes at the front, that changed the steering like you won't believe.

So glad you got it on the car!

I'm not sure I'd describe it as weedy, I enjoy the RCF but when I get in the GR after just driving the RCF the last thing I'd ever think is weedy. In fact my thoughts about two minutes into the drive is 'Jesus this things so alive'.

Which is why it needs to be light not lardy, considering most GR Yaris owners go on track and embarrass far bigger engined cars a lot of the time the engine does seem to be typically 'bombproof' which is what we have grown to expect from Toyota/Lexus

The eternal quest is to make the ISF as light as possible for this exact reason. Lexus make 'lardy' cars, so I can't imagine that will change with this new attempt. It'll have the numbers, look the part, but will need some weight loss to be truly enjoyed, especially if they're trying to put it in the same bracket as the GR Yaris (which it won't match).

Personally I'd love to see Lexus capitalise on their RCF GT win and go down a similar route with the F range, as Toyota have with the GR, but all hope for another decent sporty car from Lexus vanished when they went all SUV in Europe, bar the sluggish and Titanic sized ES.

I do live in hope though!

I guess it would depend on how much it weighs, I can vouch for this being a fantastic engine performance wise in the 1200 odd Kilo GR Yaris but if it turns out to be a lardy fat thing like most modern cars then it may be a bit disappointing.

The whole F range is overweight because they won't compromise on comfort, so I'd imagine the same with this. It's not to say it won't be nice and fun, just not GR Yaris fun.

Hi Rich, how are you getting on with this? I still have not put on the headers as ive been so busy with my house. How much louder than the stock headers are they? I have a Hayward and Scott exhaust and i love the sound of it. I still have my secondary cats in and I will be keeping them in. It's a daily driver in some ways but I really only have to drive it when I want to as I have a 4x4 from work. I leave it parked up for weeks at a time so in reality its an occasions car. Is it ridiculously loud? I've asked this on US forums but I've been to the US and I dont think Americans understand the concept of "obnoxious loudness" as lots of cars there are just insanely loud.

Hey mate, sorry I never replied to this, I didn't get a notification.

I wouldn't say it's obnoxiously loud bar a cold start, first 10 seconds or so it's very loud in the garage with the doors open. If you put it in gear instantly it goes quiet. Once the cold start cycle ends it's fine. I love it and it's a nice V8 noise, not ASBO noise.

Thanks guys, the plastic covering the carbon has now cracked all over due to the cold weather. No point in replacing it as it would happen again in the next year or 2.

if I try to take it apart it would fall to bits, I may have to wrap over the top.

im going to check out both handy tips thanks.

Contact Reverie in Essex, they may be able to advise on possible next steps. Helpful company when it comes to carbon.

Be interested to see how the valving works out on your H&S system. Not fitting an intake kit with tune then?  51R Battery came from: https://www.antigravitybatteries-uk.co.uk/automotive-and-supercars.html?scroll=345.2380676269531

Cars tuned by Loi, but other than the K&N Typhoon, Loi informed me I won't see a huge gain considering cost when it comes to intakes. At the moment I'm waiting to get my hands on a K&N and then I'll retune as in his experience, the K&N yields the best result.

    Thanks for the link dude!

  9. Nothing wrong with a modified car or even track used car, it's the owner that's the concern and how it was driven. Hard to say when a car has had lots of previous owners, exactly what condition it is in. It also depends on where you plan to take the car. If it's to go on track and be used in such a way, you might not be interested in paint condition, etc. It's all subjective but I'd go and see it in person and see how you feel.

    My two pennys worth:

It looks like the right one BUT It's too cheap - why?

One side of the car does not match the other side - have a look.

Mileage check and MOT check shows the last owner used it a lot and maybe not too nicely?

    FLSH ?

F sport carbon trim on the door - does not compute.

    Tread carefully.

Also missing the centre plastic on rear bench seats. Push start isn't OEM, centre console isn't OEM finish.

If you do go and look at any ISF make sure the following:

    - check cold start and for ticking from engine bay when cold (cracked headers)

    - remove plastic engine cover and check all round for pink coolant leaks (Valley plate)
