Over priced RCF 's?
RichGS11 replied to stag74's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
I would never use WBAC as a gauge of a vehicles price. I went to use them a couple of years ago and almost felt personally attacked when they valued my car at the the time lol. -

Newbie - Considering ISF
RichGS11 replied to TonkerToy's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Yes the corrosion between the transmission cooling lines and the rad itself happens internally. I was told the same by Lexus when I approached them about how I'd diagnose if I needed to replace the rad on my GS. I was told to stick to a 10 year cycle for the rad unless it required it earlier (damage to the outside, etc). -

I'm just thankful I own an F car and have experienced one before they ultimately become very expensive to own! There's nothing I'll change my car for, but there are lots of things I can do to it to make it more fun 😈 -
Headlight question
RichGS11 replied to RichGS11's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Hey. No issues with them at all, I've just been 50/50 on if I like the look of them. My ideal headlights would be facelift ones. My Vlands are solid, fit well, don't leak and I like the output, it's just that I'm torn between Vlands or a clean OEM pair. -
Newbie - Considering ISF
RichGS11 replied to TonkerToy's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Great cars the lot of them. Lexus comfort, build and exclusivity, plus enough power on tap to have some fun, the sound of a V8 and the confidence it won't suddenly implode and crave thousands of pounds from your wallet to repair it. As with above there were two deciding factors for us, do we like big grills and how many doors. We went with the IS for the family and it's more than big enough for us. The Range sits on the drive for those days where the IS cannot fit all the luggage of a family on a big adventure, but with a smaller pushchair now little man is 2, the IS has plenty of space for a week or so away for a family. -
Newbie after ISF -£16k
RichGS11 replied to Rich1988's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
I've heard of one where it was initially diagnosed as a valley plate issue only to be the water pump (common). Sticky dashes and valley plates don't appear often here in the UK. -
Headlight question
RichGS11 replied to RichGS11's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Not on me at work but I shall take some tonight/tomorrow. -
Hello all, I hope you are well? Lexus ISF headlights is the topic of my day. I know they have two models, pre and post facelift, but are there any other variations? I ask as I am looking to get a set of nearly new headlights to replace my Vlands. My old OEM lights have crazing (cracks) in the passenger side light, which I don't think will wet and dry out, so I'm looking to obtain other lights. The question I ask is what should I be looking for with AFS built in, etc? As I see a few models listed on LPD, I'm not sure on the relevance, but their prices vary wildly. I believe my lights have LED bulbs fitted if that helps? Thanks all.

Stone Chips: What's the options?
RichGS11 replied to Bluethunder's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
I'd look into paint protection film to prevent stone chips. Ceramics work on softer items such as tree sap, bird poo, etc. Ceramic is a great product but not the wonder product some advertise it as. -
I have emailed LPD already but awaiting a reply. It would seem you're also correct about eBay. It appears I had a couple of filter selections saved (was looking for a little runaround car), which limited my search! Not my finest moment lol

Hmmmm I looked on eBay (the app) and nothing came up! Maybe need to look at my search filter! Thank you!

Hello all, I'm looking for a place I can buy a couple of genuine F badges. Currently I've found some in the US for $59 each and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a place in the UK? Thanks. Rich

What car next.....
RichGS11 replied to Arnett's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Some interesting suggestions on this thread from current F owners. I think it's quite a tough decision after owning a 'quick' Lexus. The mrs has the obligatory Range Rover and I am so underwhelmed by anything attached to that vehicle and the company. She loves it and loves me, so I'm putting that down to her being easily pleased, although it creaks and rattles like me, so I see what I have in common with it. There just isn't much out there that makes me want to change from where I am. Most newer cars have those god awful sized front grills which isn't my thing. As above with Merc and BM, yes if reliability wasn't an issue. I do like the look of the Alfa QF, very nice looking car. Lexus don't sell anything appealing right at this moment and with their keenness to remove all things exciting from the European Market, I'm not sure where I'd go next. I guess you don't look around when you're already happy. I'll be keen to see what you test drive and end up with. -
RCF transmission malfunction.
RichGS11 replied to Hoobee's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
I was talking about the ISF in France that had coolant leak into the transmission oil. The gearbox didn't like it. I wasn't aware of your leak. What pipe was leaking? I will give mine a look over soon. -
SavageGeese Lexus IS500 Review
RichGS11 replied to Charliecloud's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
It's an OK filler until the new line up of F's are released. Nice way to keep in the market and try to stay relevant but it's price point is way too high for what it is. As already said with it not coming our side of the pond, I hope that's not a new trend and we see some proper F's land at our shores! -
Aftermarket ISF front lip
RichGS11 replied to Slickric's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Hey man. Yes it's my ISF. The skirts are all part of their kit for the ISF. It also has rear extensions and a rear diffuser/valance. For some reason I cannot upload more images. I am on Instagram if you have it, as Rich_ISF for more images. -
Pondering IS300h To RCF Upgrade
RichGS11 replied to LordByronUK's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Test drive, test drive and test drive. There's a wide range to choose from in the 2 door coupe market but be mindful that regardless of most owners opinions, the Lexus F range are heavy old beasts, which impacts on economy and overall speed. The F range in general is very close speed wise because of the weight of each model and as for MPG, it's a 5.0 monster and the only good MPG you'll see is on long runs. I could go on for hours about my experiences of RCF test drives, but I'd have nothing to compare that to in regards to an IS300h, the roads you travel, your driving style, family size, vehicle needs for day-to-day life, but I will say this........if you have a V8 itch that needs scratching, you won't go far wrong with any of the F range and I'm sure the RCF will put a smile on your face. The other positive to all this is that the prices of any of the F cars won't be plummeting any time soon, so if it's not for you after 6 months or so, you'll sell it on at a similar price. I went with an ISF in the end for family reasons, the look of the car and the fact I like to 'play' with my cars. All of the F's are great platforms and even driving to just the shop feels like a real occasion. I looked at C63's, M4's, 911's and the like, but one thing that always set the Lexus apart was the feeling that she's rarely, if ever, going to let you down. You only have to skim through the pages on this section of the forum to see that there are not many reliability issues posted. Go book a test drive and see how you feel, but I have a feeling you'll be addicted. There isn't anything out there I'd change my F for. -
Aftermarket ISF front lip
RichGS11 replied to Slickric's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Bar importing, which comes with added costs, there's not many UK based options. I went with Maxton Design as they have a full lip kit. They're Europe based and well priced. My view being it wouldn't be long before I knock it or potentially it gets struck by a stone on the road. Easy and cheap to replace too. I'll attach some images to give you an idea of the design of the whole kit (you can buy items individually). -
ISF OEM alloys or aftermarket alloys
RichGS11 replied to Slickric's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
ClubLexus.com has a thread on wheels on an ISF and 18's are a preferred track option and most of the people I follow prefer 18's. It all depends on the style and your needs. I'll be heading towards Enkei's in 18" to lose some weight. I love the BBS on the ISF but they're too thin and the offsets make them too sunken into the arches. -
RCF transmission malfunction.

Does the RCF share the same radiator/transmission cooler design as most other Lexus? -
Mesa Red 2010 isF for sale
RichGS11 replied to FlyMo's topic in Lexus F Club - Lexus IS-F / GS-F / RC-F Club
Beautiful colour and second to USB when I was on the hunt for one. Good luck with the sale. As for the reply about unwanted attention I don't think so. Mine parked up anywhere doesn't tend to get noticed that much. Most people have absolutely no idea what the car is bar a Lexus. More often than not, I get asked who did the custom exhaust tips (they assumed the stacked exhaust was a modification and not standard). Great cars. I love mine and I couldn't see me parting with it for anything else (unless they become too expensive to own one day!). -
