I do a few track days a year . And used to have a fiesta ST for the job which i sold last month. I am going to get a Yaris GR but wont get it until July. I have a booking for April and the wife wont let me track her Mustang after the last time .
I wouldn't mind giving it a go in the RC F I just wanted to hear anyones experience with it? I have never seen one on the track and when I meet M4's at Brands the little fiesta ST kept up with them quite easily.

I’d go for NGenco.
Wow. Lexus managed to sell Anniversary editions to the public. Thought they’d be stuck in the showrooms forever.
Good second hand buy for me. As far as I could see all aniver were sold

Looks quite shiny for a matt finish
meaning?
It more a sheen than a matt. Also the bonnet and roof are glossy carbon items

Wow. What issues have you had?
The only issue I've had is a failed passenger mirror which was replaced in 1 day (seems like a common issue). Other than that so far it has been reliable.
I kind of knew though when moving to BMW I would be giving up the bullet-proof reliability of Lexus.
Its mostly engine management new ECUs, followed by autobox locking in low gears and jerky shifts. new steering pump and I kid you not water leaks in boot.

I switched from an 08 IS-F to a BMW M340i about a year ago. The IS-F was obviously a better sports car (sharper and better handling), but for daily driving the M340i is brilliant, almost as quick, much more comfortable and the tech in BMWs is miles ahead of Lexus. The BMW B58 engine is so impressive, 0-60 in 4 secs or less and can return 40mpg on the motorway!
I hope you are having more luck with your M340i than I am with my company one. there hasnt been a month where it hasn't been in the shop. its let me down on the side of the road around 3 times already. Never the same issue.
my wifes X3 is equally as unreliable and it was so expensive after the options were added

For those that have the matt paint the accompanying paint care booklet makes it look a daunting task. I am pleased to say that the easiest and best way i have found so far is normal neutral Ph car shampoo with no wax added and well diluted in warm water. and then a water rinse. sponge it dont brush and leather with synthetic cloth.

Hello, I had searched and searched for the same info. I have the early 477ps rcf so happy with performance, but was just for interest. The rcf was reduced in power in 2018 ish for emissions. I am sure it is just a different ecu but don't know for sure how they did it. Can't find anything about it. The 0 to 60 is always quoted the same but I can't see how it can be exactly the same as the gearing is the same I believe, so less power must be less performance ?
Because nobody does remaps for these cars it isn't easy to just remap it to match the earlier cars bhp either. The very new rcf track edition rcfs have 5 more bhp than the early rcfs and lower gearing so can do 0 to 60 in 3.9 second. I don't think you would notice 5 bhp but the lower gearing would be noticeable so must be down to only that for the extra exceleration.
i have tried searching for a solution to the detune on the 2018 RCF. not sure if the same detune happened LC500 model. Its enfuriating there is no info as to what Lexus have done to the engine or a solution to putting it back.

There is a local dealer who trades in high end stuff. I'm going to give him a shout. He did up and sold my brothers car and he's a straight up guy.
I think I can get a reasonable new car and save myself £300-400 a month.
Shame the GT-86 is meant to be unrefined on the motorway.
A civic type r is going to be too expensive, APR deal aint great on them.
I have a Fiesta ST Mk8 they seem to have good deals on them. I cant rate it highly enough

With my last company in 2016, I had the pleasure of meeting the F development team at Lexus and the Interiors team a Toyota Boshoku in Japan . I was always impressed by their enthusiasm and knowledge for the subject . At Toyota Boshoku I saw the interior layout of the GSF I liked it so much that when i got back I started looking out for one! Hence buying the one you have now. I found a plate GSF plate online and added it soon after. We had notable times together, I used to drive to Bradford on Avon from london on a Monday to work and then drive back late on a Friday. The journey over Salisbury plane and past Stonehenge was always more enjoyable because of the car. I never saw another on the road and all that drove in it liked it , except my old secretary who didn't like me driving it fast ( her opinion "... oh my god slow down will you!!"😆 😁) around the roads in Wiltshire. When I stopped working and was back at home it was kind of surplus and I traded it in a for a new car. As Soon as I saw it being taken away I knew I had made a mistake.
Still . I enjoy my new RCF despite its loss of 20 horses and I am glad my old GSF has a good home.

That's rather good to hear, it's nice knowing it was owned by a previous member aswell.
Yeah they seem to have done a good job repairing the body panels after we rolled it on that long Moroccan trip...

So ...
My wife just put a deposit down on the GSF for sale by Hull 😅.
May not be have the red interior but I kind of felt like black may age better in the end. And also it's not a 2017 plate but what's £300 a year in tax. 😂.
If all goes well 😚My IS250 goes and this GSF is mine
Thats my old one, I had it for a year and unwisely sold in in 2018. looks like its done very little mileage since then.

There is a really good piston heads you tube video of these two cars getting compared. He is saying the same as you.
It also drives differently to my old GSF. I wonder where it is.? About a year into its ownership I changed the reg to L500 GSF anyone seen it?
piccie attached with the old plate, i traded the Mercedes in the in background for it

if lexus could give back the 20 hp they took, then it would be perfect.
my GSf had a dark interior and it was a bit funerial

Exterior is fantastic, however the interior is not to my taste. I'm an understated chap and as per the track edition (red carpets, what were Lexus thinking) the interior on anniversary edition is too loud for my taste.
I like my interiors plain and simple, but I appreciate we're all different and spice is the variety of life 👍
I feel Lexus try's to hard to be different and sometimes fails in it's execution.

Looks really stealth! Loving the interior, better than all black.
How does the RCF compare to your wife's Mustang? I'm assuming she lets you drive it!
She does let me drive it 😄 but usually there are a set of missives like.... if you scratch it you can buy me a Bentley GT etc .
The RCF feels like better made mustang. The engine is better, better screwed together and the chassis more sorted.
But the Mustang is really nice to drive, surprisingly well built and feels a bit faster than the RCF but the engine needs winding up to deliver the power. There is one area where it is sooo much better than the Lexus, the Sync 3 infotainment on the Ford is brilliant, works seamlessly with my android auto on my phone, SO intuitive to use and the B&O sounds great
Engine knocks out
466 PS (343 kW; 460 bhp) @ 7,500 rpm 569 N⋅m (420 lb⋅ft) @ 4,600 rpm vs The lower tune 2018 RCF
341 kW (457 bhp; 481 PS) @ 7,100 rpm and 54.6 kg⋅m (395 lb⋅ft; 535 N⋅m) of torque at 4,800 rpm
Also it is half the price of the RCF.
