  1. No puddle lights on your 2019 NX? Is it one of the poverty spec ones before any add on packs.
  2. Just because "everyone does it" doesn't make it right, and shouldn't be accepted. Too much "I must have it now" & "me, me, me" and the manufacturers are feeding off that culture. More often than not, and certainly more recently the customer is not always right. The customer is an idiot.
  3. Depends on how they are set up. My NX ones illuminate the handle surround and have the puddle light feature. Which is nice.
  4. All 4 light up on my 2020 300h, premium plus pack. Penny pinching, lack of components, all too often recalls, sending out £50K+ cars with 1 key, no locking bolts etc. etc. Lexus are in danger of losing their luxury brand aura if this sort of thing continues.
  5. Hi All, I'm seeking help as im just going around in circles. On the previous IOS 16.7 i had my iPhone set to only listen for "Hey Siri" when connected to CarPlay only. In IOS-17 I can't find the specific settings to enable this. It seems I have to have Siri listening all the time, something which I do not want it to do. Any ideas? Thanks
  6. New number plate snob thing. I don't get it either, as when selling the car no one cares, they just want to know the year.
  7. We used to have the same issue in our offices. LIFE HACK:- I bought a wireless thermostat and stuck on the wall. The office girls merrily changed the temperature up and down as their chills and hot flushes required. While, leaving the centrally controlled AC to do its best in providing a comfortable environment for all.
  8. Service book yes, with the dealer stamps and milage in them, harder to fake than digital content. Manual, at close to 900 pages, no thanks, I'd rather have that online, or a downloaded local copy with a search function.
  9. Yes of course I can call them, or email them, but that's not really the point. Their website should work correctly, as it doesn't I went elsewhere.
  10. Tried them, it won't log me in, and when I ask for a password reset it locks me out of the whole webpage for 24 hours. Not too helpful when trying to spend money with them.
  11. Try eBay, as Lexus do have an official parts store on there. That's where I got my mud flaps from for my Gen-1 NX, cheaper that through the dealer and when my car was in for the first 6 months health check I asked them to fit them. They did and FOC too!
  12. The dogs would have had them first! Seems to work for me, no signal in the garage from Wi-Fi, mobile reception, or data 4G or 5G.
  13. Don't get this issue at all. I can have the car on the drive right up to the back door, picks up the house Wi-Fi outside, yrt if the car key is just the other side of the back door on the kitchen counter it will not open. On the odd occasion the car is still running it beeps like hell, key not found. All this over distance of no more than 3 feet! any when put away for the evening it's nice and safe in the garage with it's tin roof and steel garage door, it's all tucked up in one huge faraday cage anyway.
  14. Current trend CT200h replacement. It'll see alright. My father's CT200h was mid range and he didn't think twice at paying £27k for a tiny car back in 2018. Plenty of older folk around wanting a smaller car with serious disposable income.
  15. The vehicle manual combined wit the infotainment manual is over 800 pages. I've read it cover to cover, my gosh its a boring read, no story whatsoever, but does explain everything along the way.
  16. Surely it can't be that difficult to fit them. Line them up with the roof rail indents then tighten up. And that's it I would have thought.
  17. Yep, I'll be in the same queue, as will may I'd image
  18. Just realised what it reminds me of from the side profile. It's a Nissan Juke in a fancy frock
  19. Didn't know the NX350 came out in 2016.😂
  20. Extra fuel consumption is negligible in my opinion. At 40mpg it drops at a max of 3.5%, so 1.4 miles to 38.6mpg. Hardly bank breaking.
  21. Yep, GardX did mine as part of the dealer package when buying the car. During C-19 there were bargains and plenty of free add ons to be had
  22. Good call sir, enjoy the search and eventual purchase, they are great vehicles. Mid SUV size, almost car like handling, I find it very good for a tall motor, AWD reassurance for bad weather. Most reliable car winner from 2015 and every year to 2020, can't remember which survey though. Great value for money. When I bought mine new in 2020 with premium plus pack I compared prices to a VW Tourist / Touran whatever! The much lower class and quality VW with all the extras to almost match the NX spec was £9,000 more expensive.
  23. 18MY = year of manufacture so a 2018 model. That's the facelift model from 2018 to 2021. Panoramic roof is nice, but you lose rail bars for roof / cycle rack (if that's an issue). Don't see the point in them myself, as the NX one doesn't open, a lot more glass to clean, also I'm assuming with all that glass the car heat up a lot more if stood outside in the sunshine. If it cracks the car could be a write-off. Mine has a off white headliner so the cabin is bright enough. But in all honesty all the AWD versions are great vehicles, all depends on budget. I'd go for the lowest mileage, newest with most toys as I could afford. There lies the quandary though. Do you go for a newer car with less gadgets? Or for a slightly older one, higher mileage but fully loaded?
  24. As above. Some Sat Nav / Infotainment systems can't "understand" larger capacity USB sticks. I had the same with the Rockford Fosgate system in my old EVO-X, any more than 32GB and the in car system just read the stick as an error , not formatted correctly.
  25. just bought a service plan for years 4 & 5, just under £46 a month 32 payments (£1472 total) . Includes parts / labour / MOT for 2 services. Which if you take into account just the service & MOT costs, the extra £450 or so, covers 2 hybrid health checks and 2 years manufacturers warranty. I know a little simplistic, but that's how I see it, and I see it as great value. After all they are very complicated vehicles.
