  1. Loving all this "CVT bad, more acceleration, need power NOW, NOW, NOW" etc. The NX is a midsize luxury SUV, not a sports car! IMO either leave earlier, or buy a LC500 Mine's nippy enough when needed, for a circa 2 tonne raised vehicle. Great for long distances 4hrs+ journeys 😂😂😂
  2. That's because most motoring "journalists" are frustrated IMO and have a Vin Diesel Fast 'n' Furious mindset, imagining they are driving the supercharged Dodge Charger with NOS and its 17 forward gears!
  3. Small size, I have one for my Mk1 NX in silver / grey
  4. NX 2020 MK1 faclift. "Hey Siri" stopped working ages ago while my iPhone was plugged in on the cable. I had to program the vioce button on the steering wheel, long press, siri pops up then listens correctly. I did have Car2Play wireless adapter, but that along with wireless charging made the phone so hot when steaming it would shut down.
  5. NX2020, Premium Plus, no kick to open, no remote start
  6. I did the same. 3 year free plan ended, paid and started an new 2 year plan with Lexus, circa £1500 for 3 services. It may sound a lot, but when you factor in a price freeze on service & parts costs and that my plan covers 2x major & 1x minor service, it's good value and piece of mind. Throw in on top the service warranty, it's safe and worry free motoring as I see it.
  7. Yep, that's about 11% drop, TPMS will trigger anything above a 4% drop. This time of year, and especially with the temperature dropping quite suddenly, this will be a common occurrence. Always happens to mine but only 1-2 psi (approx. 3% - 6%), 11% does seem a high drop to me. (If that makes sense)
  8. Am I to understand that you are advocating warranty fraud, on an online forum? In my opinion, that not such a smart thing to do.
  9. Be aware, the fault was there prior to the Lexus service and subsequent start of the warranty period. So, the fault will not be covered by the Lexus warranty. But, IMO, it's still worth getting the car fixed, then serviced with the warranty going forward. Future piece of mind for a very complicated vehicle.
  10. It's not the foglights. Within the same cluster there are two lights, central one is the fog light, the outter one is the cornering light. I don't think there is a menu option to deselect the feature, but I guess you could simply disconnect the bulb. But, remember to reconnect it before an MOT, otherwise it will go down as a failure.
  11. Another obvious one is windscreen wiper arms, many French cars had the larger (driver's) wiper on the left, giving an odd look to a RHD car. But they and Ford go round that by having the con fig they use now. Corner mounts, with wipers coming up from the centre of the windscreen, still looks odd to me though. Mercedes and Jaguar got round the problem differently, with one extra large central wiper. Also noticed filler caps, usually the opposite side to the driver, allowing to drive up close to the petrol pump and still being able to get out of the car easily. Many a time I've seen, usually, German car drivers pull up tight and having to squeeze out the driver's side.
  12. Loved my wireless charger and wireless ACP until, one long journey the phone shut down due to heat and lost Waze, it was so hot to the touch it was uncomfortable to hold. Had to pull into a layby program the in car NAV to continue my trip. I have since reverted to the ancient cable, its faster charging, no lag in data transfer, and the phone stays well within operating temperature, thus saving a little on battery degradation.
  13. I'd say the UK drives on the correct side of the road. Think about it, most people are right handed. Therefore when changing gear in a manual car your dominant hand stays on the steering wheel, giving greater control of the vehicle. For the UK the steering columns are wrong. Take a look at an older Japanese car, most had their indicator stalks on the right hand side not left. This means you could steer, indicate and change gear simultaneously. The main reason the indicator stalk is now on the left is economies of scale. It's far cheaper to produce left hand drive steering for the majority of the market and simply transpose it to the right, rather than building bespoke units for a much smaller market. Well, that's what I think anyway.
  14. Already do use Waze. But, that's not the point I was making.
  15. How it that illegal exactly? Other countries / car brands provide their map updates for free over USB and DIT it, or offer a dealer visit solution at a price, that's how my old EVO-X was sorted annually. Hence asking the question
  16. Relax pal! The costs could be covered from within, a hidden extra in your servicing costs, initial purchase price, could even be passed on through the price of the used approved dealership cars. There are many apps that provide it as a free service, even without you having to buy anything in the first place. A little gift here and there goes a very long way with customers. Especially customers willing to part with £40k - £50k+ for a luxury status brand vehicle. Or perhaps have a low monthly sub for example: "Only £11.99 pcm for Lexus piece of mind, no matter where you are in a Lexus, Lexus will get you there" Even the strap line writes itself, well, I wrote it.
  17. MAPUPDATE AUTUMN 2023 LEXUS PREMIUM SYS MM17/MM19 £119.00 +VAT. Ok, ok I'm a cheap skate, does anyone know how to update maps for free via USB or something?
  18. Lexus Link + app, absolutely loving the map feature. It finds my car, I enter a new destination, and it shows the new destination. Then, no route, no send to car nothing. Schedule an appointment - doesn't work and freezes out the whole app Fuel economy is always zero So basically useless, well done Lexus! Oh, but I can give my car a nickname, well isn't that cute!
  19. I'd be interested in knowing that too, as my NX-1 has MM19
  20. Really? Looking at a boot lid picture the NX-2 camera is above the numberplate to the left slightly next to the concealed handle, similar to the NX-1. So, does the rear wiper actively clean the camera, or is it a case of the runoff dribbling down the back of the car? If the former that's clever as on my NX-1 the camera does become unusable in certain weather conditions.
  21. Oh why did I bother? I only really used the old app for sharing routes to the car, I can't even do that now! Can't go back to the old app, tried that, it just insists I use the new utterly useless app+ This, with all the new NX woes (glad I didn't buy one) the premium brand reliable brand from Toyota has really lost its way in my opinion. Very disappointed. That is all, rant over, thanks for reading.
  22. You do get batteries of the same voltage and size with different mAh (milliamps per hour), the higher the rating the longer it lasts. A quick Google "The CR2032 battery has a voltage of 3 volts and a capacity of up to 240mAh, depending on manufacturer specifications."
  23. I use Pledge and an old sock, works great for me. Also, does a cracking job of getting squished flies off the windscreen too!
  24. I use a good old Disklok, added bonus it fit under the boot floor in the spare wheel recess
