  1. Not so keen on the new model. Dash is too Toyota, plastic seats, no leather option and a good chunk of change in extras to get anywhere near my 2020 Glad I bought mine when I did, thanks to the build quality it'll be a long time coming before I need to think about changing it.
  2. tried it, don't use it. I react quicker on or off than the car does. And sometimes I like leaving them on to dazzle people who use their foglights when they shouldn't but look "cool", so 1990's
  3. Cheap interior, sadly. The infotainment system looks like an after market bolt on, similar to the older A class Mercedes and, the steering wheel is too Toyota rebadged. it really is a posh Toyota now, rather than the stand alone luxury brand it used to be. That’s the real shame.
  4. No numbers on the split screen, well that would make things more difficult. might depend which system you have, I’ve got the 10” 10 speaker Pioneer one, premium nav I think Lexus call it
  5. Oops I think I’ve misunderstood. if you’re connecting your phone to the car’s Wi-Fi (I didn’t bother with that optional extra) the Don C is right, auto join in the network setting on the phone should work
  6. The button mapping isn't the wrong way round at all. Although not intuitive visually, it is logical. + (up) goes up the pre-set numbers 1-2-3 etc. and -(down) goes down the pre-set numbers But the stations list is numbered 1-6 from top to bottom. It's even more confusing on full screen radio as the +/- work the same, but visually it scrolls right.
  7. Except, there isn't a auto connect option in IOS 15.0.2
  8. Too much faffing for me. I'm forgetful, so remembering to charge overnight etc etc wouldn't "work" for me. At least with a hybrid and fuel I can always just nip in any petrol station and fill up if out and about and forgotten to do so before hand. Which, invariably I do.
  9. Interior is still too Toyota, rather than Lexus though. There's too much RAV-4 DNA, so loses it's special "it's a Lexus" brand in my opinion. That's only from photos / videos, I might change my mind once I see one in the real.
  10. It's not really up and down. Think of a joystick, up=away/push down, down=towards/pull up. Gets more confusing when using the radio full screen. The scroll function works the same, but the radio channel selection moves left to right and vice versa. I've lost count the number of times I've unconsciously scrolled left / right which flicks through the mini screen's menus
  11. Good point, not only colder, but darker too, using your heater more, lights more, cold starts, wraming your car up before venturing out, it all adds up. Especially with hybrid cars, as the batteries don't perform as well in the cold either, also adding to a lower MPG.
  12. Ha, ha, ha, who's offended? A couple of facts for you: All petrol and diesel sold in the UK must conform to British and European standards - EN228 for unleaded and for diesel EN590 Fuel from supermarkets is held to the exact same minimum safety and quality standards as premium sellers
  13. That's just such misplaced snobbery. And an urban myth that fuel from a branded fuel station is better.
  14. no need for a trip to the dealer, I live in a very hilly part of the country, very few stretches of flat anywhere I drive, compared to previous cars which averaged 25 to 29 at very best. Gone back to e5, mpg back up to "usual" figures, for the extra few pence per litre, I get more for my money overall.
  15. Too much Toyota for me. Do a side by side of the interior with a Rav-4 you’ll see what I mean. classic / classy IWC style dials gone, steering wheel just rebadged, central console, list goes on. Glad I bought mine in 2020 as there’s still a good decade before I’ll think about changing.
  16. From 35mpg down to 29-30 mpg
  17. NX Premium Plus 4x4 E10 fuel, second tank and the MPG is shocking, down at least 5-6 mpg.
  18. BUGGER!! Thanks for the replies though
  19. Concentrate? Who has time to muck about diluting correctly? Wilkos 5L screen wash £2.50 , just pour it straight in, job done.
  20. Crikey! A lot of light footers here then. At best I'll get 350 - 375 and around 32mpg, which isn't great from reading other posts. But, for a car weighing almost two tonnes I think it's brilliant! My last two cars didn't break 30mpg and 300 mile range, then again they were very different cars to the NX and I was much younger then 😀
  21. Hi All, When selecting drive mode, ECO / NORMAL / SPORT, I can keep the car in eco or normal permanently, but sort mode always reverts back to normal mode when starting the car. Is there any way of keeping the car in sport mode all the time? I feel I know the answer already, but wanted to ask in case I've missed something. Thanks
  22. E10 is approx. 33% less energy efficient than E5. So expect more fill ups, higher annual fuel bills, potential starting issues if the car has been stood for a while. And I bet the price per litre goes up, even though there's less petrol in our petrol
  23. Just been to the car, only just noticed the black borders, doesn't bother me, as I don't look at the NAV while driving, and use WAZE anyway. Not so keen on the new infotainment touch screen either, had one in my EVO-X, and constantly cleaning it to get the finger prints off, it was a real pain. Also not too pleased with the new NX dash in general, looks tacky and all too generic Toyota to me. Glad the car is under a year old and will be keeping it a good few years
