  1. I see that the 2022 versions are easier to fit than the 2020, and no hole drilling needed, which is good
  2. I bought mine online, cheaper than dealer prices and had Lexus fit mine when I had my free winter/hybrid check, which they did FOC.
  3. That's weird, just checked mine online DLVA number plate check and didn't get anywhere near that level of detail Anyway, they aren't estate cars they are SUV hatchbacks purely by the shape of them. It's like saying certain Audis are 4 door coupes, when they aren't as a coupe is a 2 door car
  4. I'd say yes. I added OEM mud flaps after buying my 2020, I wish I had specced them at the time of collection. They seem to suit the chunky SUV type vehicle and keep most of the crud from flicking on to the paintwork under the rear bumper, which accumulates very quickly due to the curve in design exposing the tire under the car.
  5. Eventually I will get one to replace the current NX, but not for a good few years. Hopefully by that time the regular changing specs / packs would have calmed down, new model niggles ironed out, as well as the delivery times getting shorter. It won't be the 450+ though as with a plug in hybrid it's remembering to fill the car up twice, once for petrol and once for electric. with my absent mindedness I'll just have a heavier than necessary vehicle. The 350h with the extra 50bhp will suit me just fine I think.
  6. Ahh I see. Fair enough if that's the Lexus description. But it isn't really though. 😀
  7. 😂 I love that "compact" description, as it's a sizeable car. NX = Nimble Crossover RX = Radient Crossover UX - Urban Crossover According to Lexus UK anyway.
  8. My 2020 does not have HUD, but the dash display of speed limit isn’t always accurate, there a part of town where it thinks it’s a 10mph limit, it’s not, it’s 30, oddly the built in Sat Nav displays the right speed limit
  9. Or why not just change the name to the NX forum? that way all are included irrelevant of the numbering / model variation.
  10. The NX isn’t an estate, it’s a 5 door hatchback SUV.
  11. iPhone volume set at max, I use the phone via AppleCarPlay, when in a call I can use either the steering wheel control or the rotary volume on the audio system, and the volume level is temporarily shown on the main screen, up to 60. Even at the highest setting the actual volume differs depending where I am, driving or stationary and where the other caller is. I’m inclined to believe it’s down to the cellular reception determines the quality and volume of the call. Sometimes at 60 it’s too loud and at other times it’s bearly audible
  12. The drive train seems a great improvement. Not driven one yet but on "paper" I'll have a piece of gen-4 with the extra 50bhp
  13. Really? Out of curiosity as I have no experience of run flats, but I though a spare bicycle wheel/tyre could be used for longer than a run flat. So it would give you time to source the right tyre at the right price.
  14. Thinking about it. It would be useful if you have an old house with a tiny garage built for 19050's / 60's cars rather than the modern "trucks" we drive now. With remote parking in/out at least you could use the old garage for its intended purpose rather than an extra dumping ground. As only in England do you see 40/50k cars parked in front of a garage containing a few 100's worth of tat. 🙂
  15. If you have to use remote park in/out of a space, surely the space is too small for the car in the first place. Anyone parking next to you in a lesser vehicle that has to manually open their door and get out, surely they are going to bash the bodywork on your luxury ride?
  16. I'm not certain, but I think you don't even get manual reclining back seats with the premium pack either. Although a great vehicle and much improved drive train etc, there does seem to be some penny pinching with the standard spec and within the add on packs from what I have been reading.
  17. Ahh got you. I use WAZE, job done Or you can use the Lexus app and send the address to the built in Sat Nav. 2020 NX, the built in Sat Nav does warn you of fixed cameras, and Spotify can be used via Apple CarPlay / Android Auto
  18. Had a demonstrator yesterday. Liking the split pan/sun roof, and various other upgraded gadgets, lcd instruments, HUD big screen, the door opening and exterior coach handles, larger back window, headlight washers, 20” wheels. Very well made with a solid finish, but not so keen on the massive black plastic slab of the dashboard, and for me the screen far left top corner (back “button”) is too far away to use comfortably. Fiddly gear shifter, USB ports will leave cables messily on the centre console. The NX series 1, instruments IWC style, dash nicely broken up with the insert. Hidden USB ports leaving the cabin tidy. Having said that the extra 50bhp gen 4 hybrid and exterior restyle does make the NX series 2 a better vehicle overall. And it will be my next Lexus, in a few years time when all the tweaking and teething troubles have been sorted, as with all new models.
  19. UK spec the AWD system is automatic and kicks in when needed. But most of the time it essentially a front wheel drive vehicle
  20. Except it isn't 😂 https://www.motorbiscuit.com/alcantara-better-leather-cars/ Also having Tahara seats (Lexus brand synthetic leather) means they will also be hot/cold depending on the season.
  21. 'You’ve already told us your not having one because carwow managed to rock the centre console.' Actually I didn't say that at all. No idea where you got that from. I said the centre console along with the steering wheel are too Toyota RAV-4 for my liking, along with the etch-a-sketch touch screen and all the black plastic . But yes a lack of leather in a luxury vehicle is an issue for me. Also, I've never said anything along the lines of "you should / shouldn't" buy a car that you want. I just said it's not for me.
  22. I've just tried the Lexus UK configurator for the 2022 NX 350h Shame you can't have a leather option unless you go for an F-Sport or Takumi grade vehicle. To spec up to my current 70 plate NX Premium Plus it's almost another £10K!!! Just glad I'll be keeping mine until it falls apart.
  23. compared to all the other petrol cars I've owned, the NX is the largest, heaviest, first 4x4, and the most economical.
  24. You can't use W3W directly through ACP, I assume that AA is the same. But you can use it on your phone, to assist in Waze / Google Maps / Apple Maps, then have one of those apps up on screen. I suppose what / how you sue W3W, but with a full address with postcode, I find it a little redundant.
