  1. I stick with Waze, the "safety" camera information is invaluable on long journeys, to parts of the country not familiar to me.
  2. Use a phone app. They are better, up to date, accurate speed camera locations, including mobile units, free upgrades. oh and the ones i've used show both distance left, time left, and ETA
  3. Amazing! The new NX has quite a few features missing as standard from the previous version. And at a greater price!
  4. Nothing to do with the fader settings. there’s a lack of rear sound, due to the lack of speakers. Therefore asking the question, can they be added? unfortunately I think the answer is no.
  5. Off to the car audio centre. Do they still exist? it’s been over a decade since I’ve done any after market installs
  6. Except the speaker forward layout doesn’t fill the cabin with full sound. sit in the back and it’s very noticeable that the surround sound is for the front seats only. the older 14 speaker ML layout was better for a full cabin of sound imo
  7. Thanks, Not really the answer I was looking for as ML is OEM depending on spec. So doesn’t shed any light on the subject unfortunately. 17 speaker system and still no rear speakers! besides which that’s for the new 2022 NX and not my series 1
  8. Didn't think DAB radio showed track art anyway. Gracenote was always for CD's in my experience. And that data was locally stored, and had to be updated once in a while
  9. Quick question. Can you add rear speakers to the 10" premium infotainment system? I know the Pioneer system comes with 10 speakers, dashboard, front and dear doors, and the sub in the boot lid. But, is there any way of adding some rear speakers? I don't particularly want to do a parcel shelf job, after all it's a Lexus, not a 15 year old Corsa!
  10. And it looks like an etch-a-sketch
  11. " I’ll take delivery of my car 1/9/22 Oder placed 23/11/21...... Estimated Handover 11/05/2022 So the dealership wasn’t to far off with there estimated date" 17.5 weeks late! It's not even close, never mind to far off. The nonsense people put up with to get the new shiny amazes me. Of course, I'm a massive hypocrite as I've done the same in the past.
  12. NX300h, 2022. The app is useless, find my car is usually 1/4 mile out, the NAV 'send to car' states it's been sent, but then on the NAV in the car there's no obvious place to find it Driving analytics states my average speed last month was 296MPH !!!
  13. I see the voice command hasn't improved. On my 2020 NX I gave up with it and went back to Apple CArPlay and "hey siri"
  14. My Lexus app is a little optimistic i think. 😂😂😂
  15. Find my car feature is terrible. When the NX is parked locked up safe in my garage, the app thinks its at number 2, i live at 20. And, on occasion the app thinks the NX is 4 miles away being driven out of town!
  16. Funny as my 2020 NX doesn't sound harsh, you can hear the engine rev up, the progress is swifter (especially in sports mode and using the paddle shifters) sounds quite mean to me, I like the noise, sounds sporty. I had a Mitsubishi CVT, which had the "elastic band" drone before any acceleration, almost like a CVT version of turbo lag in an old Saab 99.
  17. Premium Sport, and it didn't come with leather? Just use a leather cleaner, as it's supposed to be the faux equivalent.
  18. Could it not be the panoramic roof? That's a big piece of glass bonded to the steel frame
  19. Ahh I see, as is mine, could be the rear seatbelts, was in mine, also as previously suggested, centre headrest, could be arm rest if felt down, anything rattling around in the glovebox? Or the centre box thingy with the vanity mirror?
  20. That's why I never buy a new model that's just been released. There are always niggles, faults, and recalls until all the bugs are ironed out by the customers' experience. Best to buy EOL models, all the bugs are gone, loads of extras chucked in, discounts to be had. If you keep the car until 'death' like I do, it matters not that it's last year model
  21. Thanks for the answers, learn something new everyday.
  22. Quick question If you have a hybrid plug-in vehicle, what happens if you don't AC charge the battery? Will the battery still get charged up by the ICE, or do you end up with just a very heavy inefficient petrol truck?
  23. Forget the on board SatNav, use Waze, accurate and with all the latest speed camera hot spots. Makes getting home much quicker.
  24. I'd check that, rather than hoping. Not cars, but long wait list Swiss watches, deposit paid, and they make it very clear that the balance, 6-8 months later, will be the RRP at the time of collection. I would assume it will be the same case in this instance. Personally, to be certain, I would email them so you have it in "writing"
  25. I have no idea how long the process took, but it was no cost to me, and a 5 year guarantee, I think it was an incentive from Lexus UK (though times needing sales) rather than the dealer, as the salesman told me to contact him at 4.5 years and he'll arrange a free re-coat adding another 5 years protection and guarantee. In line with the 10 year warranty on the vehicle, as long as that dealer does the servicing. Which, I'm agreeable with as I keep my cars until scrap anyway, and the dealer is almost next door.
