  1. Doesn't surprise me David when you have had it in for service they have not reset it. Last time i had mine in first morning i drove mine was on way to Cornwall early hours and windscreen was misting up, they had knocked the air con or mucked about with the climate concierge and not put it back i had to stop park up to inspect and put back. The vid Don has posted will sort you out well done Don.
  2. Yeah CR2032 anyhow got a couple of Duracell delivered. Changed it over tried the car wouldn't open. Ooooh have they sent duds, changed again put the other one in same again. Mmmm told Mrs Alaw she said I'm sure we have some somewhere in a pack she got them for some gadget. She found them a pack of six one missing but i spotted a CR2032. Put it in the key fob and presto it worked. The Duracell looked in pristine condition well packaged i thought they cant be duds. They weren't. I noticed on the back of the battery a small sticker that small you could hardly read it. Something about harmful etc. The sticker was very small i mean small. Anyhow took one off took the working battery out and put the Duracell in minus the sticker presto it worked. never would i have thought that small sticker would hinder the contacts. To be honest it was a straight forward job easy to do i was expecting all sorts of procedures to do to get key recognized again but no so easy. The manual just tells you to change the battery. Happy days folks.
  3. Just done same Hugh ordered mine on ebay CR2023 if my memory serves me.
  4. Yesterday I saw a message on the display key fob battery low.
  5. I have discovered the the cavity at the back of the left hand bonnet hinge on my UX collects hides bugs. Ive previously found a huge snail stuck on the bulk head. Small webs etc small critters etc. While the opposite side is relatively clear. Its not the easiest place to clean em out either.
  6. Many many years ago i remember every Sunday dinner my grandad would bring my grandmother a bottle of Mackeson to have with her dinner. Happy days.
  7. Well after the puncture i recently posted about. Which i am glad it was repaired. This has given me a bit more time before I change the 2 rear tyres. I'm hoping the tread that is remaining will see me until spring. My idea is change the rears in spring then the front will be ready end of summer. Anyhow we have had a few threads about which tyre. I have read with interest what you folks are doing. I am definitely sticking with the run flats. After reading what posters have put up I think the Hankook S1 Evo 3 K127 will be my choice. I've done a bit of research and I never realized that they were a premium tyre. Someone posted a video of the new sealant tyre they are doing it appears that they do quite a bit of research as well. The Evo 3 is a quieter tyre than the Bridgestone I've noted on the ratings although that doesn't bother me. When I went and got my puncture mended the fitter said he had Hankooks on his car and he said Pete over over there another fitter never puts anything other than Hankooks on his cars. These weren't young men. Another thing the fitter who repaired mine said that the Dunlop run flats had a lot stiffer sidewall. So when the time comes its going to be Hankook for me unless one of you convince me otherwise. By the way i notice that the rears are wearing faster than the front, mine is front wheel drive as well
  8. You make a good point there Len something that never crossed my mind. It would maybe have been different should it have been one of the front,s.
  9. The yellow warning came on permanently on the display. Moved screen to the Tpms and sure enough driver side rear read 0.8. I usually run with 2.3. I first noticed the display going to work on the Thursday morning. On Friday i went to the tyre fitters on the Thursday night i pumped them up but by Friday morning they had lost a bit but the yellow warning had vanished. At the tyre fitters the pumped it up to 2.3 exactly and checked all the others they said see how you go come back if they go down. It did i took it back on the Monday this time they took the wheel off to reveal it had a puncture smack back in the middle of the tread. It was a small piece of a small dia drill bit. Anyhow it could be repaired and was at a cost of £34. So im happy with run flats they got me to work Sat ,Sun and Mon. I know a few of you dont like em and are opting to get normal tyres fitted. They bought me some time like they are supposed to do i dont think they are noisy but i know they are noisier than normal. Im happy with them and whats more the tyre was repaired. Im going to get this winter out of them and change the rears in spring and fronts in August. I will post on another thread what im going to put on, i think weve discussed what type of tyre.
  10. Ive just had a run flat puncture repaired
  11. Regarding getting your golf clubs in i would do what you do in the polo and drop a seat. In the UX this is so easy to do. We do annual pilgrimages to Cornwall and we practically take the kitchen sink mind were cutting down now a bit but the UX rear seats are so easy to drop down. Regarding the back seats yes its a bit tight especiallyif passenger has their seat back.
  12. Agree with everything @LenT mentions. In my case i only use google maps on my android phone works well for me.
  13. Well i was stuck waiting ages as our towns railway barriers went down and i remembered what @Don Cmentioned about the rearview mirror. I felt the stalk and could feel what felt like a ferrol that moved. Never knew that was there. So my next thing is to take a closer look and see how it works. So thanks for pointing that out Don.
  14. Hi Ian mine is a 20 i went black it has black headliner at the time you could opt for lighter seats and their was a lighter headline. Some have stated its a bit dull in the cabin i think thats the reason an option exists for a sunroof as well. Happy buying.
  15. Had the service and first Mot. No issues on the Mot as expected really. Regarding the alarm it hasn't gone off since they checked and said everything ok, so it must have been a bug/spider etc. of some description. Regarding the rear tailgate they found no problem. I said it definitely is worse in the hot periods.
  16. Pooria Run flats are the noisier tire saying that we are told the Dunlop is the quieter of most makes. It could maybe be the electric drive motor you are hearing ?
  17. Nice color Chris
  18. Be interesting what you report Charles. I did a bit of research the other week looking at the various makes and the respective noise ratings. A Yokahama think it was a vectus had a low db.
  19. It's a gutter that £390 VED for the first 5 years equates to just short of £2k. I actually thought it was a lot more. There's a few on here who didn't realize that until after the purchase.
  20. Paul would that happen to be fallout from that sand from africa/saudi that was getting blown over in jet stream. We had the tour of Britain in our county on Tuesday. Speaking to an old friend he said there are supposed to be some good sunsets due to all this sand getting blown over.
  21. Thanks for the post Gary. Like you I prefer the non color coded wheel arches and why they didn't use gas struts on the bonnet i agree. Hope your satisfied with the NX and have many years with it.
  22. Thanks Ronnie yeah I've thought of this in fact i was only looking at some today i have in the garage and i have WD40 and some silicone spray. Waiting now to see what the dealer says when in for service.
  23. Yes Herbie that's what I'm thinking puzzled.
  24. Recall software update ?
  25. Im in for a service next month and mentioned it when i booked asked that they look at it and the alarm which went off the other night it sounded just once for about 4 times all at once.
