  2. Lexus retains top-rated car franchise title in NFDA Dealer Attitude Survey | Manufacturer (am-online.com)
  3. They reckon the Dunlop run flats are quieter Nick.
  4. Welcome Mujahid looks like you have a nice looking car there.
  5. Welcome to the LOC Malcolm. Absolutely agree with John. The only time i find the journo,s praise Lexus is once every year when they win the reliability awards and customer service. The CVT is the best out there. The NX is a smashing car i nearly went for one but got the UX due to demands and needs in other words i dont think i needed anything as big. Although saying that if my dealer offered me one at an unbeatable offer i could be persuaded i suppose (hope they read this) ha ha. Good folks on here friendly and will help if they can. Enjoy your NX.
  6. Full tank every time. Fill up Usually when I'm between quarter and half more usually near quarter mark. Then every now and again ill top it up with the super stuff.
  7. Interesting Banji. Slick presentation.
  8. Technology in motoring accelerates at good speed in fact probably one of the fastest growing technology's out there. For that reason EV will develop quickly over the next few years. There will be huge investment especially around batteries. They will become much much smaller really small something you couldn't even imagine right now. Charging will be standardised and more importantly the time taken to get a full charge it will come down to half an hour. For me that's the bugbear it will come down to half an hour. A hydrogen fuel cell will be same as going for petrol in and out job done. It wouldn't surprise me if Toyota thought hydrogen was the way forward.
  9. Herbie I agree entirely. They are building houses like mad here and in flood zone 3. Hydrogen fuel cell is the future the end product is water. The infrastructure is practically already in place just needs the manufacturers to get making them get the price affordable and bingo. Thats a great link to show current demand.
  10. Got to agree Malc i think this will be the way to go.
  11. Hi Colin yes some mountain to climb no doubt about it. I wouldn't dismiss it outright in fact i think it may well be part of a balanced portfolio for motoring overhaul something akin to a balanced portfolio for energy Gas wind nuclear etc. The future has got to be Hydrogen fuel cell. The solar panel attracted very good feed in tariffs but that has been reduced dramatically, but still something to consider. There are more charging stations going in everyday but no where near enough and fast enough.

  13. Hi Roger like others i was told to keep it in normal. However since you posted i have since been trying the Eco mode in town, normal on B road and sport on the motorway. I have to say i think i can see a distinct improvement or so the latest mpg reads on the head unit. I can see 49mpg previously my average would be around 36 to 39mpg. I was in the dealership yesterday and got speaking to the manager i mentioned what you had posted and i had tried and saw an improvement. he mentioned thati should see 50mpg. He actually went on to inform me of the sales team have the opportunity to drive all the lexus hybrids to be shown how it all works impressive listening but too long to explain here. Thanks for the post. Happy motoring.
  14. Welcome Philip good crowd on here look forward to your contributions.
  15. Would i be alone in thinking we have a mountain to climb here in the UK or even the world. Charging apart when will all the public chargers that are needed be in place. Am i right in saying they haven't even standardized them yet. I realise there are a lot more than what there was a year ago. What about car owners who live in tenaments, flats, skyscrapers etc. What is on the way surely a game change needs to happen or EV is dead. Im bewildered. To add to that the UK energy industry is a shambles and has been for years. Interested to know what you folks think.
  16. Ploughmans
  17. Be interested to know who manufactures the Lexus watch.
  18. Yeah its a good thread. I like a watch after many years not wearing one i have started again. Not in same league as you folks here. I think the first one i had as a child was an Ingersol. Since i have had a couple of Rotary. Currently i have an Orient apparently the are part of Seiko. Not had it long and i am on my third strap (leather). Ive been thinking about getting a Seiko or a Citizen. I got my Orient from the Long island watch company there not expensive but decent timekeeper if you keep wearing it.
  19. This looks a nice watch. The link says the price is 157 is that with added vat ?. Would this be an automatic mechanism. Do you have any idea who the manufacturer is. Thanks.
