  2. Thank you Len for the detailed info appreciated. Yes i think i will try the detergent bottle what comes with my S&J pressure washer ill have a go and see how it does. I have used auto glymn products for as long as i can remember. Today i looked and watched the various videos they do. There snow foam is called polar blast its part of a series there are other polar products for wash after the blast and a finisher that puts a protective sheen on. The polar blast applicater gun is 40 quid. What i found interesting was it comes with a connector fitted for a Karcher K series but say they have other connectors in there accessories list. They didn't have a S&J so i rung up they said contact your manufacturer. Anyhow thats another issue so ill buy some snow foam from somewhere and try it in the detergent bottle. It appears to me that using a pressure washer is better than a hose pipe with a nozzle attached. I wont be doing it soon anyway im in agony with arthritus in my foot thanks for info.
  3. I've been inspired to have a go at using snow foam. Having read Vlads topic on washing the car and then The Brechin slate topic on snow foam failure and all the thread contributions. So what do i buy to put the snow foam on with. Do i buy something i attach to the hose pipe or something i attach to the pressure washer, what's best. My pressure washer is a Spear & Jackson and it has a detergent bottle attached. Would that suffice ?. Appreciate your contributions.

    MRI

Piers i have just had a MRI (on my foot) so only put half way in. Like you i was apprehensive due to claustrophobia. Some machines are bigger than others. You can be sedated your GP will have to make this request. The machine i went in was quite big if i had to go with my body in i think i could tackle it. Most on here have covered what its like. All i would add its very noisy. Go for it Piers and best of luck. Wishing you all the best.
  6. Yes Steve i wondered what i would do if i lost my phone. My owd colleague at work retired last year he wrote all his passwords in a book.

  9. I think your correct there Doog. It is how they are graded.
  10. Ive nearly always filled up with supermarket fuel i have dabbled with V power or BP ultimate. Ive got to be honest never seen any improvement at all like @colinbarber says too many variations . Yeah apparently the premium fuels have supposedly got additives in. I always remember Honest John a big fan of v power.
  11. I think you just spoke for me Phil. What's more i think we are probably the same on driving experience. You've took your time to post this well-done. I have something to add regarding camera's so i think i will start a thread in the lounge see what debate i can stimulate. Watch this space.
  12. How true Steve. Near my town the A614 runs through it goes over a motorway flyover outbound its 30 to 60 coming back its 60 to 30. The thing is coming back the 30 starts about 20 or so mtrs from btm of the flyover. Just so happens this is a safety camera partnership area. Piggybank springs to mind.
  13. I once lived happily a few years ago down a road opposite a school with a cross roads about 200 metres past the school 30mph limit. My next door neighbour was a retired police inspector. Many a time we would be in our front gardens doing the garden cutting a hedge passing time of day having a chat. lost count of the number of RTC,s at the cross roads. We asked how many there had been one year. We challenged what they told us. Apparently not all RTC,s are recorded they changed the way or criterea what is recorded apparently or that is what we were told. Just saying.
  14. Well the alarm didn't go off last night so I'm hoping the big moth i saw actually came out of the car.

Puts a lot of miles on the car coming from East York's roads are better now than what it was like 20 years ago.
