  1. Have you thought of moving to Cambridgeshire? 😆
  2. I remember on the first UX I had the creaking was associated with the air temperature, I think when it was very hot when it happened in my case. Are you having tropical temperatures up there in Yorkshire? 😆
  3. Fitted these for a bit of fun
  4. 👍 Used the same approach for my ES. First reaction from my dealer was my vehicle had SW updates that meant I didn't need the tracker, contact Lexus CR and the dealer was told to install the tracker.
  5. I'm getting one fitted to an ES next week. The dealer said it didn't qualify but when I wrote to the Lexus CR they told the dealer to fit it. Try that route.
  6. Not heard anything myself. Mine is going in next week for the Tracker to be fitted, I will ask about it then and post anything useful.
  7. I contacted my dealer regards the tracker offered for my ES and was told it didn't qualify as it had had a "Firmware update". I contacted Lexus CR and they told my dealer to go ahead with the Tracker installation FOC as a goodwill gesture. Quite how this Firmware update fits in to the security measures I don't know.
  8. Interesting George. I decided to contact Lexus CR quoting my dealer's reply and I have just had a call from the same dealer booking it in for the tracker to be fitted FOC! 🙂 Shame they are so defensive in the first place.
  9. I contacted my dealer about having this tracker fitted to my MY23 ES and supplied the link to the article. This was the reply: I have spoken to Julie in the service department, and she is aware of this, but it is not available on the ES due to it having updated firmware to prevent theft. Anyone else get this reaction and I wasn't aware of any security updates for theft on this model?
  10. I've had a 2020 UX with the old style display and that allowed what you describe as screen splits with three types of info. I replaced that with an early MY23 UX with the updated Multi-media screen and experienced the same frustration as you have. Speaking to Lexus they could only suggest I use Android Auto which allows my to show two displays, typically the navigation map and the radio stations. It seems this move forward in display technology was at the cost of restricting the amount of visible options in the Lexus environment.
  11. I have a MY23 and the mirrors fold by the manual door switch, there is no auto function on this vehicle in my opinion.
  12. Don't you think it takes the fun out of driving trying to eek the highest possible MPG. I appreciate we are all different 🙂
  13. I experienced this and found the easiest way was to go back to my lexus on my home computer and reset with a password without capitals. I still get times when I have to re-sig-in on the car annoyingly but at Least I get past the password check screen.
  14. Anyone seem the BBC news this morning on TV? An ex car thief was interviewed about how easy it was to steal cars. They showed him sitting in a car with a current thief (identity hidden) with his electronic device (approx. £15K?) beside a locked Range Rover and he unlocked inside seconds remotely. I don't know if that vehicle had the recently offered upgrade by Range Rover but it was quite depressing how easy it was to access/steal without physically getting into the vehicle forcibly or attaching any device behind the head-light as in our case. At least they didn't show Lexus's being pinched in the news item! The guy interviewed suggested approaching your dealer to disable electronic remote features but without a conventional key slot on our doors I can't see how that would help us. The point he made was they could access any make of vehicle.
