  1. Thanks I have looked at The Weber videos. Excellent. Yes I would describe the torsional damper as a device to take out shocks and smooth the feel of the drive. Same thing of course.
  2. I think the image of the cut away gearbox higher up may be the type used by Nissan. It has a stainless belt running between coned pulleys, I think.
  3. Thanks for that, I thought it must be, knowing that system is brilliant. Just that some ?? Manufactures have a stainless belt running between cone pulleys, not so good.
  4. I don’t seem to find a conclusive answer on line to this question, so hope those with more knowledge than I can help. Is the CV gearbox an epicyclic type or a cone/belt? 2013 model. Most short videos on line show the sun gear, planetary and ring gear but it doesn’t specifically mention this model. Thanks in anticipation.
  5. Thanks Roy.....
  6. Thanks Rich. I am wondering if I can get the schedule of what servicing is required at what mileage/time interval. I want to be informed before I see my garage chap for the MOT and service. maybe it will be on here somewhere, I go looking.
  7. Thanks poundy. First time i have bought a car where all is OK, except the service booklet. The Lexus book, quick tips etc are pristine, there doesn't seem to be room for another booklet. Sheets of paper only. Well see what turns up at the due service and MOT.
  8. Thanks for the post and replies. I am due an annual service on my 2013 CT200h anytime now. Its a fee one along with the MOT but not at a Lexus or Toyota garage, but with 34,000 miles I am not expecting a problem. However the books that came with the vehicle, many of them all pristine, did not include a service book, just seperate sheets from start to current of work done, MOT etc. I was told that this model doesnt have a service book?? is that true? 9. Adding to this post, I have now resolved the issue. Found that there were nore screens to open up, not just the three. Now all I have to do is find out if I can update the TomTom system :-)
  10. While broadly speaking of the satnav, does the Lexus come with a lifetime update possibility? Mine is a used car and while the satnav works there are a few road speed changes I notice that are not up to date. thanks in anticipation.
  11. I am smiling because I had that today, only 4 days driving my CT200h, it took awhile to see that it was the camera warning 🙂
  12. Perhaps this will be a start, rather than a full tutorial. The 2013 CT200h that I bought is great with low mileage. I have mastered most of the uses of the car’s many buttons, knobs etc. However the Quick Guide book covers the Satnav in a brief sort of way. The main owners book just says refer to the navigation system owners book. No room in my Lexus leather folder for anything looking like that. So using the menu doesn’t cover how to put in a home route. It still has in it the old owner’s routes and nowhere can I find How to delete them. YouTube hasn’t helped so far but rest assured if I come up with anything I will add to this post.
  13. I am now driving my first Lexus, CT200h, and having researched a bit on line and chatted to a friend on his 3rd Lexus, I find the car to be just what I expected. One point I notice is that in sport mode I definitely notice the difference, contrary to comments seen in the media. Mind you I intend driving eco so it was just to test out the options. The sat nav had me beaten to start with, the book isn’t very clear. regards, all
