  1. I can confirm that a UK RX (2007, anyway) will pass the French MOT with absolutely no work on either the dipped or main beams. That seems to confirm that you don't need to adjust them. No need to turn off the adaptive lights feature either.
  2. Yes, they are. Al l I have to do is find a nice level spot 25 metres away from a blank wall to aim them. At the same time I can see how well the new led foglight emitters work.
  3. Yes, I do with the leds and also did with the original halogens. It's like thin lines going upwards at 45 degrees. Never had them on any other car I've owned
  4. For the first time last night after fitting led bulbs in my RX400H high beam lights (apparently legal here in France) I drove the car in fog back up from Toulouse. I knew that the beams were not perfect, but they gave a good enough light in normal weather so I'd not thought of adjusting them. It was obvious in fog that they are set too high and are not particularly "straight ahead", so I'll need to tweak them a bit. Question is, how? I know there is an up/down screw, but is there a left/right screw? Do either/both of the adjusters move only the high beams, or both beams together? My dipped beams are self levelling, and do not need to go any lower-but would they keep their level regardless? I have done an internet search on this, but there is not much out there telling me what I need to know. Thanks in advance for any help!
  5. But it is an AWD, no? At least mine is, and works well in the mud of southern France.
  6. The drivers seat squab on my RX400H (and my mate's LS460) both 2007 has "failed" in the back right corner. Is there a source of pre-shaped foam to re-stuff it?
  7. My car is in France but a rhd. I bought some rubber mats from eBay UK and they emailed me to check that the car is rhd. If you want mats for a lhd, buy from a European source, I guess.
  8. Catalytic converter thieves love the RX400H. They can have it off the car in less than 2 minutes - even in a supermarket car park. My car, now permanently in France, was targeted in Kennington when the previous owner left it in a gated, private car park. It now has a cage over the cat, which my local Lexus dealer thinks is very odd.
  9. I get 30-32 mpg on hilly French country roads, but have seen as high as 38 on a run and as low as 26 on a windy motorway at 130kph (81.5 mph). The "H" doesn't get much of a chance to cut in around here
  10. Supersonic
  11. I live out in the countryside, and have to reverse down a narrow drive with hedges both sides. It's possible that they soak up the light, I suppose! In any case, the leds are definitely better than stock.
  12. Pretty good actually. I've had several comments from people standing near me when reversing about how bright they are. The reversing camera lets it down a bit. It is not a great performer in anything other than daylight - but the mod is definitely worth doing.
  13. Amazon list loads of collections of small screws for not too much money. Just measure the diameter and length and do a search. Of course you then end up with 200 small screws that you will probably never use........
