@Shahpor It is only limited in the fact that I declared to the insurance company I would do around 8,000 miles per year. Even when it was higher mileage, the premium didn't change that much to be fair. -

Last year I paid £383 fully comprehensive on my GS F. 🙂 I use price comparison sites and several were around that figure. Passing the Advanced Driving test helps. -
The Advanced Motorist's technique I was taught is to dab and let go of the brake just before the speed hump and this makes the car front "rise up" making you hit the speedhump on the "up movement" of the car thus making it more gentle than just hitting the speedhump without altering your speed at all

Personally, I wouldn't let any of the manned car wash employees get near my car. When you see them use the same sponge/mitt on the wheels, then the sills, then the doors without rinsing it, you know they are just grinding that grit into the paintwork. Not to mention they drop it on the floor and then carry on where they left off.... -

Lexus NX Driver Assist Systems
Neo_gsf replied to Phil Catterall's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
1. Dynamic radar cruise control – The only time I use Cruise Control is in 50mph Average Speed Camera roadworks. All other times I prefer driving the car myself 2. RSA Road sign assist. Fairly accurate but it can read signs incorrectly (e.g. my NX used to read the green signs with the word 'Zone' on (for the ULEZ zone in London) as 100mph) 🙄 Also, as Steve says, it reads signs on backs of lorries and also signs from side roads you might not even be going down. 4. Automatic High Beam. I turned off completely in my NX, my RX and GS F. Works far too slowly when detecting oncoming cars and sometimes didn't come on when I wanted it to. 5. LDA – Lane Departure Alert with steering control. Useful but I only set it with vibration - I turned off the audible warning as it is surprising how often it went off when getting close to the lines 6. LTA Lane Tracing Assist – Useful assistance combined with above 7. PCS – Pre-Collision System – The bright red "Brake!" warning appears as well as an audible warning when you are going around a corner and there's a parked car on the opposite side of the road. The first time it happens it scares the life out of you, but it does happen quite often so you get used to it -
New Windscreen To Be Fitted - Autoglass Advice
Neo_gsf replied to Andrew888's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Also insist on a new "Gel Pad" for the front Auto Wiper Sensor as this invariably gets finger marks on it by the fitter and they just replace the old one and it never works quite the same. -

It is not necessarily Google. Terminology can get confusing. A "Browser" is the tool you use to access the internet (e.g. Internet Explorer (Microsoft's browser). Chrome (Google's browser), Safari (Apple's browser), Firefox (another browser independent of the main operating system's own browsers). These browsers track your movement around the internet - where you've been, what you've clicked on (i.e. you clicked "accept cookies") etc. etc. A Website you use to do searches (e.g. www.google.co.uk, www.duckduckgo.com, www.ask.com) will present results based on what they know about you (using your internet history, cookies etc.). Generally, websites are accessed by you using a browser. So, If you use an Apple device, using Safari to browse the internet, the issue will be nothing to do with google (including if you come to this LOC website). If you use an Android device, using Chrome to browse the internet, the issue will be with google. If you use Safari, go to www.google.co.uk to perform a search, it'll be google looking at your Safari history and cookies and present results based on what it can find out. If you then come to the LOC website, the issue is nothing to do with google. As mentioned above, if you use "plugins", these can block ads and prevent history being recorded/read. -

Yes, DDG, as an alternative to using the Google search, can definitely help with privacy when searching, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DuckDuckGo, but it is the actual browser you are using to access the internet that does all the tracking of cookies, history etc. -

If, like me, you delete all your browsing history (including cookies) every time you close your browser, you will get the Privacy Pop ups the next time you visit the website. It is the cookies that store the fact that you have pressed the "Accept" button. Unfortunately, it is also these cookies that enable other websites to track your every move throughout the internet, hence why I delete them every time. -
Battery type of IS300H 2019
Neo_gsf replied to iousin009's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Sorry I can't help on the battery question, but if you have a 2019 car, isn't it still under the 3 year warranty for Lexus to sort your issue out? -

We call it Azure Blue in the UK. Ultrasonic Blue is the equivalent US colour -
Assuming all the other lights on the car are working normally, it sounds like a connection problem isolated to the Number Plate bulbs. Are the wires ok and not broken in the loom from the car to the boot lid? Are the contacts ok at the bulbs holders themselves? If you have a multimeter, that would enable you to test voltages to try to trace the issue.

I sat in one at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The interior is a bit of an acquired taste, but I did like the exterior. -

When zooming into the pictures you provided they are black to me. Zooming out, if you look at a bit of leather on the seat near the white stitching which isn't a perforated bit, it is black which goes back to what I was trying to (perhaps badly) explain that the underneath of the leather is blue and where it is perforated, the blue is making the whole seat look that colour. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one, as Kieran is right - there are a multitude shades of blacks out there that can look different to different people. -

Fair enough. The original GS F brochure says 'Black Leather' and that Monza car was mine and was definitely black. -

Have a look at the interior of this https://www.monzamotorhouse.co.uk/cars/lexus/gs/f5.0v8/431731/ You'll see a similar blue tinge as seen in your picture. -

I had that exact interior. The surface of the perforated leather is black but through the perforations you can see a blue colour which suggests the base colour of the leather underneath is blue. Hopefully that description makes sense! -

I was a GS F owner but mine is now the Blue one for sale on the Monza website. Brand new RX 450h f-Sport on order now so I'm staying in the Lexus fold. -

My car has the Road Sign Assist and always reads this Low Emission Zone sign as 100mph. Not very reliable at all! -
That sounds like the exhaust is full of water to me.

Lexus IS300h Windscreen Defrost Setting
Neo_gsf replied to Tronix's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
The Windscreen Defrost button is on the 2nd row with the Windscreen symbol and "Front". This should turn the fans onto full speed, direct all the air to the windscreen (cold when you first start up obviously) and then once the engine warms up, hot air will come through. If this is not what yours is dong, then suggest it needs looking at
