  1. Interestingly, please see this thread (it works every time if you do it right 😉 )
  2. On my 2021 RH450h f-Sport, the kick function works when the car is locked - it always just needs one kick
  3. Works every time for me too. Standing too close to the boot will prevent it from opening.
  4. Yep - that's the way to update it - good luck. One tip when entering the Device ID and validation codes into the website is that an uppercase letter "i" looks the same as a lowercase letter "L" so that threw me the fist time I entered the code! Makes sure the flash drive is fat32 formatted too
  5. Hi there and lovely car. Just wanted to ask. Are you downloading the update to a USB stick and then updating the maps via a USB port in the car (probably in the centre storage) or are you performing an Over the Air (OTA) update by connecting your car to the WiFi? Reason I ask is that if you perform an OTA update, the speed camera notification sound will be broken, whereas in the proper USB update, it works perfectly.
  6. Morning Paul. Speed camera alerts all working ok so they haven't broken anything with the latest update 😀 Regards Phil
  7. We ordered our UX Takumi in November 2021 and took delivery July 2022, so I think there is a longer wait specifically for the Takumi compared to other variants as I did hear others ordering after me and getting delivery before me but these were all not the Takumi.
  8. Paul All installed yesterday successfully but haven't driven the car yet but will let you know if the speed Camera alert is still working when I do Phil
  9. Possibly the relay for the auto-lights? They switch on if you go under bridges/trees sometimes during the day and I've heard the click in my RX450h when they come on
  10. Just FYI - flickering bulbs are the indication that they are on their way out. One of my 2006 GS300 lights started flickering like mentioned above, then went out completely and then a few days later came back. Best to get them changed now so they don't give up completely when you need them and also get them both changed at the same time as the "colour" degrades over time so if you only change one of them, you'll have different "colours"
  11. Have a look here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ux-models-2019-present/935001-driver-s-seat-memory-not-working.html I had to perform the reset on our new UX as the door buttons didn't work. I did this reset and then the preset buttons can be used as normal going forwards
  12. Or you could pass your Institute of Advanced Motorists test and then insure through them (Cornmarket Insurance). They guarantee to beat any like for like quote you get, from comparison sites or otherwise. 😁
  13. Sorry - I meant sticking it on the outside of the rear window rather than put it on the inside
  14. You could try heating it up gently with a hairdryer to loosen the glue Oh, and then stick the new sticker on the window rather than the paint - note you will need a "UK" sticker not a GB sticker as per new government guidelines
  15. Official Lexus Site: https://mag.lexus.co.uk/e10-petrol/ "The good news is that the vast majority of Lexus models with a petrol engine or hybrid powertrain and that were officially supplied within the European market since January 1998 are compatible with E10 petrol. The only exceptions to this rule are the following models: Lexus IS 250 with 2.5-litre V6 4GR-FSE engine made between August 2005 and September 2007 Lexus GS 300 with 3.0-litre V6 3GR-FSE engine made between January 2005 and September 2007 Lexus LS 460 with 4.6-litre V8 1UR-FSE engine made between August 2006 and September 2007"
  16. I entirely agree, but unfortunately, they are a common occurrence. I've noticed that the first thing some people do once they get in their car is to put their front fogs on because it makes them "look cool". I know it is deliberate as most modern cars will automatically switch them off when you turn the car or lights off.
  17. Agreed - I think the last time I used front or rear fog lights is 20+ years ago. People today seem to put the rears on as soon as it rains which is actually the worst thing you can do as it can prevent people from actually seeing your brake lights! And then they leave them on after the rain clears, clearly not noticing the huge orange warning on the dashboard indicating they are on.
  18. Page 106 of the CT200h Navigation Manual has a section "Searching from Previous Destinations"
  19. That'll be the Pedestrian Warning System (PWS). I can't imagine a way to disable unless you cover up the speaker or whatever is emitting the noise. Essentially, it is a safety item so if you were to disable it, and then ran someone over because they didn't hear you, then you'd be liable.
  20. Maybe it is just on the cusp of the low level thus sloshing about is causing the light to come on.
  21. Looking in the handbook, it suggests that it could be the low brake fluid indicator. This sounds a logical place to look as you have bled the system and either it's low or the connection is intermittent
  22. Not sure what you mean by "Emergency Brake Light". This is a UK forum and so you mean "Handbrake Light" or something else? The Handbrake light is most likely controlled by a switch down near the handbrake - but could be wrong Also when you say "Rotors" I presume you are referring to "Brake Discs"?
  23. Mine was at the dealers about 10 days after its arrival in Bristol
