  1. Looking to tap the collective wisdom of Team Lexus

We are moving to a semi-detached house in West London W3 - the area is generally safe but suffers from car theft, petty theft and is near a main street

The house has a backyard, sideyard and private car drive so plenty of places to jump fences and the street does not have CCTV

I am looking for recommendation for a home security / alarm system

Ideally, the system would contain motion sensors (inside), motion lights/cameras for outside and a decent remote monitoring system (app)

Budget ideally under 2k gbp with minimal ongoing service charges

On a thumbsuck, I would look at Banham, Yale, Ring, Simplisafe systems

    Thanks in advance!

Your profile isn't clear as to which car you've got but, assuming it's a hybrid, just make sure that they know what they're doing.

The refrigerant gas is the same but the lubricating oil that circulates around the system with it is different to conventional cars, which use PAG oil. Hybrids use ND11 which is known as a high dielectric oil, which means that it doesn't conduct electricity. PAG oil does conduct electricity and it's been shown that as little as 1% contamination of ND11 by PAG can damage the windings of the aircon compressor motor due to insulation breakdown.

    Hi all

Just got the hard sell from a Lexus dealer at 150gbp - no clue if this is fair value or not?

Quite a sales pitch which makes me skeptical - thanks in advance

    Its a GS250

    Cheers

  4. Hi all

This is not Lexus-related but I need a couple of recommendations for a homeowners policy for West London

I am looking for an insurer for homeowners coverage with the possibilty to add auto later - looking for a reputable insurer who actually pays out without too many gotchas in the T&Cs

Better to go directly to the insurer or through a broker?

    All advice welcome!  Cheers

    Hi all

Hopefully a tip for others who will have this problem

The online place (Fish brothers) ship the TPMS without a metal sleeve (this sleeve sits between your alloy rim and the sensor itself). My sleeve was corroded and cracked and the local mechanic had to make a plan

Can anybody source a part number for this sleeve?  Much appreciated!

Inserting generic pics - 1st one has a sleeve and the 2nd doesnt
