  1. @Jaga Funnily enough it vanished over the winter... so I suspect some sort of dried out joint/ bush etc. It's had a main dealer service since and nothing untoward came up so I think wet weather must have lubricated whatever was causing it. No doubt I'll be back to square one by June! Do you have the same issue?
  2. I was just quoted £186 'diagnostic fee' from Lexus Twickenham to replace the gas struts on the tailgate... that's before the cost of the actual parts, and labour. Crazy.
  3. Thanks very much John and Steve. Was hoping I could just order online somewhere - I'll try Lexus Parts Direct and if not try the local dealer.
  4. Hi all - just wondering if anyone could point me towards where I might be able to buy replacement boot stops (I think that's what they are called) - the little round rubber 'pads' that sit one at each end of the bottom edge of the boot / tailgate - so when the boot closes they pad the closing I suppose. I've lost one and the other is loose. Thanks James
  5. Yes I wondered that - it happens when the car 'twists' if you see what I mean, so on very undulating roads or uneven surfaces as well as speed bumps (though less so on these if they're taken head on). It's got a Lexus used warranty so I'm just trying to rule out a few obvious things before I take it in.
  6. Thanks - I'll check that out too.
  7. Thanks very much - I'll have a poke around inside this evening just to rule that out. I agree on the ride - the low speed ride in particular is disappointingly firm/ bouncy. At speed it's great though.
  8. Hi - new owner of a 2010 RX450h (67k miles) and pretty happy with it as a family car. The only thing bothering me is a creaking / squeaking noise over speed bumps and potholed rural car parks etc, only from the rear though. A couple of posts on here mention something similar it seems... is this something worn out (bushes etc?) or just a characteristic of this model? Thanks
  9. Hi there - recently bought a 2010 RX450h (67k miles). Pretty happy with it overall, but like all new cars I have a few questions! Having come from a VW Scirocco it's quite a change, but with a baby arriving I needed a reliable family car that can also fit my bikes in etc. Looking forward to getting into the forums.
