  1. Looks like mines sold..............Guy who Austin bought his from called me today. Sending a deposit and collecting after X-Mas.

Think he misses the aristo power !

lol i dropped him off to get a supra after i got the aristo have to chuckle really as if i hadn't had his i would have had yours dave so in a roundabout sort of way i've still paid for it lol. What induction kits on the risto anyhow i'm having ajob finding one that removes the maf carrier

was for his brother i now know...how has changed his mind for a Golf R32....

However y/day got another call and the guy is having a look at it Monday afternoon.

My induction kit is the HKS Racing Suction woth abflug cold air box.

Personally without the cold air box I'd say you are wasting your time with any of the ind kits due to heat soak...

Try the BFI method...I did it on mine pre Ind kit & worked well.

    Get a TRD/TOM's/A N Other panel filter

remove standard air box drill 3 60mm holes in it > fit 3 trumpets (bell mouth) to it

This allows more air...keeps OEM scoop working...is a cold air box...and is cheap...............

Got a PE kit in stock as well :whistling:

Can email you pics of my bfi install if you want

  2. How is the overall handling expected to be changed, the twin turbo being far heavier then the Lexus unit, will that cause lots of under steer?? Boy I wish I had the £'s to do the same to my IS200.

I hope you have a good contact in the tyre fitting industry :crybaby:

To be honest not sure what the handling will be like but with WIM on the team and lots of testing we'll get her handling as best as we can :) Next year nippon challenge is 99% sure of having silverstone tyres as a sponsor so tyres will be a little cheaper than usually. But when needing 265+ wide things are bound to be a little pricey LoL

weight of engine should be about the same.......

Doing Time Attack cost me £8k this year and i missed 2 rounds................get your piggy bank ready :whistling:

Well hopefully as i'm encorporating it into part of my college course i may be able to get a little funding. Also its not as much as Time attack, and we get more track time. We've had quite a few of the time attack guys coming over to us in the nippon, some good battles on track, next years going to be massive and really good to watch :D

do you need a race licence for the nippon series ?

Also been on some track days to prepare ?

  3. i say yeas, go for it.

i always wonderd why no one had tried to supercharge the 2jz-gte.....it can take lots of boost,

it would be new, and with a 3.5 lots of low down torque, would be an interesting project to say the least, would upset the applcart somewhat

    Just need the money :whistling:

The Gita deal collapsed as the £/Yen made it not worth it

  4. In the current climate the Aristo is not a car that many people would be looking to buy, so if you still really like the car and are prepared to understand that after doing all these mods that they will l hardly add anything to the resale value (unless you get the right enthusiast customer) then I'd say GO FOR IT!!!! :D :D :D

So are you proposing to get rid of the turbos and supercharge instead?

yup.................seen the dyno charts from a s/c'd car today and think a modern s/c will give similair power to a big single with less lag................driveability is what ist about.

Car would evolve into a bespoke track day/Time Attack/Toyota Sprint series car.............stripped interior roll cage etc

  5. No Luck in selling the Aristo :crybaby:

Company I'm working with are getting some new crankshafts made up for the 2JZ-GTE which will increase its capacity to 3500 cc :whistling:

I've also got a Supra 6 speed gearbox tucked away so was thinking should I go for it :whistling:

While I was there I could get a Lysholm supercharger instead of the turbo's spec'd right it could give 1.5 bar easily with next to no lag.............

    decisions decisions

  6. Ah ok cheers dave. :) Thought i was picking them up. I'll look for a card on the door mat when i get home then. Really excited now. Will try and book the car in this weekend for the work - Lowering springs, ARBs and brakes all round :D. Probs will have to be the weekend after though. :(

That was the plan but thought this would be easier for you.

    Car will be transformed !

  7.

howdy on your tack days does if have to be a lexus as i wish not to put mine on the track .

but may i put my honda crx on track, still japanish .

it is quick , so i could understand if you say no , as this little thing goes past you big lads.

anyway good to have fresh blood on track .

if yes , whats the cost , deposite, time of arrival , drives registration and meeting, gp track or not.

    many thanks

    ac

    its the indy circuit

  8. Gotta say I'm more interested in the CTS-V now, can't wait to see how much it costs when it makes it over here next year. Even the normal CTS seems like a decent buy, it's £30k fully loaded for the 3.6 V6 :o

Plus the way they seem to depreciate they'll make even more sense second hand :)

can get 2005 ones for £13k.................

  9. really...didnt know that.

i was looking at importing a Tundra, and all things pointed to that i did, i certainly do if i import direct to germany

    tis true..........

the new ESVA affects RHD cars only ....was instigated by lobbying from the manufacturers (jap ones) in order to protect their markets.............

Can get full spec'd manual IS300 Turbos for sensible money............
