The pressure difference might be different between the 2 struts. I recently changed both of my struts and there weren't any gaps or rubbing with the lights, might be worth changing? -

The Vland lights will change your car for the better! Another thing that you could buy are new boot struts. Dependent on how well your current ones work at the moment? -

Bought the sgs ones last week. Just fitted them and had a little panic when I thought the new ones wouldn't fit. Turns out the boot lid was open further than necessary and just pulled it down to make sure the struts reached! Phew, now much better!

Welcome to the forum! I also did a similar jump from a Fiesta to an IS250 earlier this year. The difference in the two cars is pretty staggering!
