  1. Well done on your new purchase Pete and welcome to the LOC! You'll love the CT and soon will get obsessed by lovingly looking after it! It's a great all rounder and the Lexus dealership network is a winner too!👍🏾
  2. That looks great! Good results Norman!👍🏽🙂
  3. I think Car Pro will now be in my shopping basket 😃!
  4. Does the Car Pro Reload give much of a "beading" effect when water is on the surface? I have been using GTechniq C2V3 spray sealant every 3mths or so as a topper after I had my CT ceramic coated back in 2020. I'm soon going to finish the bottle and thought of maybe trying something else.
  5. I just had a renewal quote from my current insurance provider LV. £504 last year now its gone to £744! No changes whatsoever no claims! Me thinks I'll be shopping around! 🤯
  6. Thanks for the update Norman. That red colour is stunning! 🙂
  7. Very nice work so far Norman! Where did you get your alloys refurbished and detailing done please? I'm in North Birmingham. Anyplace nearby?
  8. I'd stick with the CT! I was a VAG fan for many years. Often going in for minor issues but the local Audi dealer at the time kept me happy service wise. Final VW garage though killed it! My current job involves transportation of new cars and whatever brand it is, I see a lot of electric cars brand new still have battery and coolant pump issues. Lexus/Toyota though very very rarely have any faults. I'd stick with the reliable hybrid technology and Lexus if it was my choice. Our CT is now 7 years old of which the last 4 have been under our ownership. I and the wife love it. Plus Lexus Birmingham, cannot fault them one bit!
  9. I'd agree with Poundy 100% also on getting a Catloc professionally fitted with a guarantee and having the registration service. Lexus Birmingham did mine also. As I've mentioned before I'd also get your CT DNA tagged with SelectaDNA. https://www.selectadna.co.uk/dna-asset-marking/selectadna-vehicle-kit Two things to give you that little bit more piece of mind. And your car would have warning stickers to hopefully put off the scumbags.
  10. Rest In Peace John. Your wealth of knowledge and experience and the kindness and understanding you showed to others in your contributions via this owners club will never be forgotten. I never had the privilege to meet you but as others have said similar here, I felt like I knew you through your wisdom. My thoughts are with your family. May The Lord give them strength. You were a true legend. All of us here at the LOC will miss you Sir x
  11. Similar experience as Poundy with Lexus Birmingham. Can't fault them! Renewed late last year 4yr Service/MOT plan when expired. Now have covered for a further 6yrs. Peace of mind totally. Only thing needed ever extra was a new tyre (which I suspected might be losing pressure anyway) and one set of new front wipers (these were getting a bit smeary also). The video I was sent by the Lexus mechanic during visual inspection was a great idea! Great also to see the bottom of the car too!
  12. Nice one Herbie! Learnt a few things there for future reference especially about the aircon regas. I'm no DIY mechanic! Other than changing bulbs that's it! The rest is at my local dealership Lexus Birmingham. I'd be too apprehensive to do anything else! Your explanation is why I think joining LOC is a must for all Lexus owners to help increase their knowledge of ownership 👍🏽
  13. Hi Vladimir As yet I haven't. But the interior I saw at my local dealership and thought it was nice. Next time I need a courtesy car during the annual service MOT I'll try the UX. Last year I had an ES for a few hours and that was nice!!
  14. The environmental damage caused by the mining of the precious minerals used to produce the EV battery in the first place. Add then the total end of life cost of owning a pure EV vehicle. Never mind the real-world experiences of running a EV in Britain with the lack of viable charging facilities etc. All of this, versus the running of an ICE "normal" vehicle. The fact that the total environmental impact of running a ICE car until the end of it's life is far less. I'd stick to ICE/Hybrid for now. Heavy industry I'm sure and those large cruise ships roaming the oceans with folk wanting to spend their kids inheritance have more of an environmental impact than my CT ever could! Also running a car with good maintenance and keeping that car long term for a few years makes more sense. ( Sorry Lexus but again I don't want to swap my CT for a new UX and start paying road tax, how many times!) P.S. Sorry if I've offended any cruise goers 🙊
  15. Agree with you on that Nick! Plus I'd add decent luxury too with a feeling of safety and reassurance.
