None with mine either 17 yrs old but low mileage, and lives in Wales so not a lot of opportunity to open it, I do give mechanism a spray with Wd 40 now and then and treat seals with vaseline occasionally, any sc this age will probably need exhaust and seeping shockers, poss Abs rings but most of these may have been done? Have a good look underneath usually surface rust but nothing to worry about otherwise just enjoy 👍Stew

Hi alloygators are the best reviewed and a great company to deal with, you will see them advertised elsewhere but alloygators themselves are best price at £75 17/19 inch, they have fitters all over the country but tbh you or even me!! could fit them ourselves lots of how to on YouTube no need to remove tyres but you will need to deflate and reinflate

It does look fabulous Paul and the powder coating as well👍just had mine done and decided to have Alloygators fitted (rim protection) in the hope of protection from minor skirmishes with the kerb something that seems to happen quite regularly now I am on the wrong side of 70😀

Why do people put wrong details to sell
Localhero replied to Glyn Jennings's topic in Lexus SC430 Club
I posted on here recently about sc that had 8,100 miles on the clock for £105000 turns out it had done 105000mls and he wanted £8100 for it!! Got my attention though! also there is a car company that give great deal fair deal comments one sc was an sc 15 yrs old with 50,000 miles they commented 5000 mls below average I thought average mileage used to be 8 to 10k per annum?. -
I don't think the wheels and the silver colour did anything to enhance that particular cars looks IMHO, there are far better looking cars on here! Why spend £300 ave per corner on oem shocks then fit lowering springs when a good set of coilovers can be had for £800? again IMHO the sc is quick as opposed to outright fast which is what it's designed to be a luxury cruiser with a build quality second to none, I never feel envious of any other cars I see on the road when I am driving mine OK so it may not be as fast or corner quite as well but it will still be here long after That st 40 or gti or vti has given up the ghost😊

Hi! On one of the photos you can see front sensors and they are black on a silver car so Imo they are not original but great looking car though at that mileage I would check underneath especially exhaust which looks original and I changed mine at similar mileage otherwise stunning car and well worth a look👍

Thanks didn't mean to offend anyone but I do know that schwartz means black in German 🙄
-
Or you could get them from Lexus at £109 I assume that's a pair!!! Whilst looking at parts prices I came across brake fitting kit 2x W shaped wires and 4 clips at £90+ and an absolute bargain 1 that's one, lexus pop rivet at £2.59p must be due to brexit, war in Ukraine etc🤫
-
Mike Tyson had one Spielberg had one Schwartzenigger (not sure about spelling) had one I Ron Mike's rims were badly damaged don't know if he kerbed them or chewed them🤔 either way don't tell him I said so!!!!🤐

These are my 2 the A1RJJ is my dad's number Richard John Jones I will never sell it, and v22 rav on a 2.2 diesel rav I wanted D 22 RAV but wasn't available
-
This may seem odd but other than my beloved sc430, I have a Rav 4 you would be surprised at the similarity in parts, I had these same lights came on and it turned out to be the switch under the brake pedal found out by a local mechanic with a diagnostic tool cannot guarantee this, switch £35 labour 15 mins to replace,

I have a relative who has a tyre business he bought a wheel alignment machine for a couple of thousand and reckons it has paid for itself in the first 12 month its in constant use and earns him £100+ per hour and that was a good many years ago now 🤔
-
I have finally cured this, there is only one wire to door switch I cut it at switch then connected new wire from there to the light via door post along cill trim up footwell trim through rubber hose into door and along to switch it now works hooray!! On removing door card I found speaker paper cone badly torn I am not an audiophile and mainly listen to radio if anything? But as I want my car to be right anyone recommend reasonable speakers that would be a very simple replacement? Many thanks Stew

Well done you 👍sounds very like mine lovely and quiet when you're in it but a nice burble from outside hope your happy with it, cannot say it added any performance🤔are you looking for more power? All the best Stew

You can still get whitewall paint but it's applying it, I have found that if I jack the wheel up and hold a cordless drill (rubber chuck) against the tread I can rotate the wheel at variable speeds backwards and forwards but I need a paint applicator which is a bottle with a knurled metal roller on top these sell for $150 I had a go today with a brush but cannot get a perfect circle using masking tape 🤔any ideas?
-
Can I just add a warning best Not to whitewall brand new tyres my fronts are turning brown, my backs are still pretty good, he does warn you of this and its a common problem! The new tyres leech into the white paint he sells some special cleaner which tbh doesn't really work IMHO, best to do it on tyres that have done 3k miles👍

They are my standard tyres with the whitewalls added I had them done by a company called Mr Whitewalls in Stafford which you can easily Google however I will post a link and some info shortly you can have a 3/4 inch ring for £130 all 4,👍 extra £20 if you arrive in your car as he will have to remove them takes just over an hour
-
Yes I think it is, 🤔 don't really want to spend any more on it, I have already spent too much on it about £6k over purchase price, so I will never get it back not that that bothers me its a keeper for now, never been happy with the wheels a bit cheap but like the look and couldn't afford genuine bbs, my wealthy brother just bought a 5yr old porsche 911 and let me drive it but has had a few problems and the Porsche dealer has not been overly supportive with him they offered him £8k less than he paid 6mths ago eeeek! 🤔

Thanks for reply yes there is a red and black wire to the door switch, the light comes on but extremely faint! when i press door switch it goes out so everything is connected but not properly any ideas how I might find where it is earthed👍Stew
