    Was reversing out of a parking spot last night on full left lock when I heard a loud clunk. It sounded like I had hit something. Got out nothing there? Today reversing again on right lock it did it again. Pulled forward and repeated with no noise. Did that twice without any noise. Reversing straight it does not do it. Bad timing Xmas and all.

    In other news and without any sensible explanation the mpg seems to have greatly improved since fitting the new battery. or am I just kidding myself?

    Unfortunately I suspected that. It did start the car again four times once charged. Are Halfords batteries any good?

    I sat in the car, engine off but lights on (big mistake) for only 10 minutes and when I tried to start her she coughed once, threw an engine warning light and died. I got my brother to come with jump leads and she fired up first time. The curious thing is that within a 5 minute drive home I was getting a reading of 13.1 volts? much higher than I expected? Any thoughts

    I have lived in countries where they are obligatory. They stop backspray making it safer for following vehicles. On wet motorways, following a car or lorry not fitted can be horrendous. So yes if only for others benefit.

    L shape is the white lens as pic. Hazards might warn others but being seen is not the problem, seeing adjacent fences is the problem.

    I struggle reversing out of a narrow drive in the dark. I have the rear lights with the “L” shaped reverse lights. They are not very bright and was considering wiring in a pair of led daylight lamps under the number plate to come on when they do. OR is there a better lamp that will fit and not melt my lenses?

    If i approach my car with the keys in my pocket then these lights come on. It senses that i am near even though i do not open the door. Are you checking this with your keys on your person?
