How do you get them off. Is here a screw somewhere?

Must admit I pressed eject without taking the front off. It does sometimes reboot when this is done. Perhaps if I get the disc out and give it a polish, all will be restored to rights?

The DVD is the original distribution disc in this 2007-registered car. I don't use it for route-finding. It's out of date, and Gmaps is way better for navigation. Sometimes I even plan the route on a 'paper' map!

There is nowhere for the disc to go when the front remains on. It is probably bent or damaged. Take the front off, 2 pins needed, then eject disc.

I don't see the point in putting colour over a clearcoat. It won't blend and will just wash away after a short time.

If you have the odd scratch, rather than a lot of swirl marks, just get some Meguiars scratch x.

i would describe as swirl marks more than scratch. When it was full of sahara sand last week somebody must have brushed past and done the deed.

Hi gang hope you guys are okay,

Last Friday night at 11:40 I heard a noise at street where I park my car when I looked I couldn't believe 4 guys with their flashy BMW were working on my RC F to open it, one was on his knees and was doing something at the left front tyre at this moment I shouted at them and they run away.

When I went out to check they cut the protective shield of the tyre and some wires were dragged out.

Next morning I took it to my local dealership and showed them what happened, today as scheduled to drop my car for them so they can fix it. And received a call after couple of hours.

What they found so far is :

Washer jet not working as the hose was cut and required to be changed, charged 260

Req 2 hours diagnostic to remove bumper and inspect and charged me 312 for this so if they find more things will going to charge me more.

It's already over 500 and just half way Lexus dealerships charge a lot I think.

Do you guys know a good garage to deal with RC F cars in London or close to London please?  Have you guys had same experience? or it's just me thinking they charge too much for some of small things?

What were they after? The washer pump?

  5. Some time ago i asked for recommendations for Lexus servicing local to me in Chorley and someone on here recommended the Hinds Head garage.

I gave them a bell this week and asked for a price for full service including plug change.

They said that they would have to work it out because they had never done an is250 before.😱😢

So I ask again, has anybody got any recommendations?

  6. My “AFS off” lit up today on the dash. When I opened the toggle switch it said it was on and would not let me change it. I turned ignition off, restarted and the off light was gone and the toddle worked thereafter. It is working properly now, doing its check and waggle dance on startup so not sure what turned it off?

I remain unconvinced that the lights swivel left and right on turning as they did on a previous VW cc which I once borrowed from my son in law. Should it be really obvious?

Most or all of those things work on UK cars. The thing about opening the windows remotely with the key (press and hold unlock button) can be a double edged sword.

Nice party trick and once in a blue moon might be useful, but it is also probably the source of phantom window opening. You go out to the car on a wet morning after a night's rain and all the windows (and sunroof if you've got one) are open - and the car is very wet inside. Probably caused by inadvertently squeezing the key in your pocket or wherever.

There are several reports on here (and the IS250 forum) of this happening.

The facility can be disabled via Techstream.

But holding the lock WILL close everything up on my is250
