  1. I am about to change my energy supplier. Going from Red Bull to Lucozade.
  2. Seems well stuck and you need to get it open to fix/oil. I would be tempted to put the motor into tilt up position and gently encourage it to move from below.
  3. I had a problem with LV in the past and said i would never use them again. When i was self employed i had 2 vehicles. one for private and a van for work. Both had over several years earned their own NCB. When the van was involved in a minor car park scuffle and a claim was filed against it, LV removed NCB from both policies which annoyed me and never made sense to me. Never say never. Price made me return to LV 2 years ago and they are efficient but just bumped my premium by £100 this time although having no claims so trying RAC for a change.
  4. trimmed back as in removed it all or just the loose bit?
  5. Should i stick this back? Part of me thinks it is designed to be removed to show the chrome trim underneath?
  6. Just started using google earth but cannot decide a good place to hang phone. Dashboard is fairly crowded and where ever i put it, it blocks off some function. Where do you put yours?
  7. I am going away over xmas for 6 weeks and will be leaving the car sat on the drive. In view of the cold weather forecast I am considering emptying the washer bottle. I should hate for it to freeze and burst. Not concerned with engine cos it has antifreeze but am i being paranoid about washer bottle?
  8. Mine does this and especially when full lock is applied. Sometimes does it going forward from stopped. Very loud and quite hairy.
  9. xmas lights up early this year.

  10. How many of the new electric cars are mobility purchases where no RFL is payable ?
  11. dozens on eBay for less than £20. Nearly all. if not all, will reset. Get one with a code list book. eBay item number:374325516757
  12. mainly those who can
  13. it only takes 10 seconds to change manually. not a deal breaker🕛🕚🕙
  14. Do the service logs show spark plug changes every 60,000 miles?
  15. Chorley but i think they all do it if you buy your dashcam from them.
  16. Bought my dashcam from HALFORDS and for £15 they fitted it. The guy had all the tools for removing panels and trim and seemed to have little trouble with the fuse. He had obviously done many before. took him 20 minutes and I was away.
  17. I use the 2017 disc and mostly it gets me there, however i mainly use the sat nav for getting me home from far flung places and it does that well.
  18. i have driven manuals where the "stick" was on the column and had only 3 gears, a vauxhall and a hillman. I have driven where the "stick " was sticking out of the dashboard, Renault and many where it sat on the floor. None was as good as the auto on my Lexus.
  19. Having passed three score and 10 some years ago, I consider myself qualified to speak on the subject of old men and "stick" or manual gear change as we used to call it. What you forgot is that my generation hardly saw any automatic gearboxes and nearly all learned to drive manual cars. We may not choose to drive manual now but it is like riding a bike, you never forget, and anyway is not that great a skill.
  20. I seem to remember a button on the floor that dropped a gear on an old Mercedes that I had, useful when overtaking.
  21. I saw this for sale in Aldi a few weeks back, not in a fancy can. Does it really work.? I put some straight in the carb of a Corsair once, 1970's and it blew out clouds of smoke but the car was never the same afterwards. I suspected that i had removed too much built up carbon on the pistons?
