Mine worked, and then stopped working. After I had exhaust welding work done and battery was disconnected.

I drove a mile through the centre of town.....this Lexus was the noisiest one in the country. Rubber bungs nice and secure. Bit like a just married car!

11 years and 98000 miles. Probably fixing the leak at the Y resulted in enough pressure to cause the box to part company with the pipe.

And today my rear silencer fell off in the middle of Guildford. Does sound quite growly without. Will replace both back boxes with stainless. Unless I can be persuaded to have straight thru rear pipes. Would removal of rear boxes affect MOT time?

Is the hybrid battery coded to the vehicle in any way? What would stop a car with a current hybrid health certificate from swapping in a duff battery pack and getting Lexus to fix dead battery under warranty?

Managed to find two key fobs from the (former) owner of a GS450h that was destroyed in the big Merseyside fire. Fobs are undamaged of course. Will get them both wiped. If anyone ever needs a spare fob let me know.

To answer my own question. There is a recess above each door that allows the plate of the rack to sit flush.

Got some Lexus branded roof bars specific to vehicle. However the door rubber seal is distorted slightly by them and allows some water into the cabin. Anyone else had this problem?

Will be interesting to see the result. Will be tricky to fill the car with wine in France without one when we come back from Switzerland. I can put extra Mr Sheen on the box for more slippiness thru the air!

Big road trip. 380 miles. 37 mpg. Now have some roof bars. Need a big gloss black roof box next. Anyone got one?

Brighton Grove Garage do Powerflow stainless exhausts, and have a giant Lexus specialist sign above their door. Plus owner has a GS450h, albeit with a dead battery. Do not just roll up unannounced as parking is a nightmare!

Know for a fact the German police would not take kindly to this. I was overtaken and stopped by a civilian who told me this was a HUGE No No. Like you the spokes were the only thing covering the lights. I did drive thru France to get to Germany like this.

My 285's were just a motorway explosion waiting to happen. A visual line of deep scoring around the entire tyre. My tyre place did not recommend stretching btw.

I have two identical key fobs for the car, GS450h. Only trouble is one does not work. New battery and it lights up when pressed. I suspect this fob is from another vehicle. (Previous owner wrote one off before he got this one) Can I reprogram myself with Techstream and vci cable?

After market tpms seems so much easier and you can tell which tyre IS low, rather than one of your tyres MIGHT be low. I have tpms on a 2016 car so will have to pay up when that fails!

Also want to get the techstream thing to deprogram my TPMS. Apparently if you put all zeros in for the tpms values then the system will ignore them and light goes away.
