Bought a 2009 one. Had a weeping radiator. New OEM one cost £450.
Also needed exhaust work at back end. £600 for y section and boxes in stainless.
TPMS is not an MOT fail so ignore it.
One of my fobs will be £50 delivered. I had a spare that got lost in the post for two weeks. Bought two extras and then original turned up!
You would have to send it off to be deprogrammed IF it is correct for your car
I successfully cleared a used keyfob (£10) and then used Techstream (£40) to reprogram for my car.
Still have to get the new blade (£5) cut.
I have two spare fobs but they may be different from yours.
There seems to be a 20 minute timer in the tpms software.
When I clear my TPMS fault code it will always ping back after 20 mins driving.
(I need to find id codes for my senders)
Hybrid yearly Lexus health check should be done to get a guaranteed 15 year life from it.
About £60ish. Another 8 years at £60 is cheaper than one new battery.
I used a main dealer for my 100k service and feel they did not try to rip me off.
Bought my GS450h from London.
I assume many were sold in the times when it was exempt. Not too damaged from a life on the urban streets.
Obviously it is now cossetted in a garage in the sticks.
Used to live in Guildford and still work there.
I drove a mile through the centre of town.....this Lexus was the noisiest one in the country. Rubber bungs nice and secure. Bit like a just married car!
And today my rear silencer fell off in the middle of Guildford.
Does sound quite growly without.
Will replace both back boxes with stainless. Unless I can be persuaded to have straight thru rear pipes.
Would removal of rear boxes affect MOT time?
Is the hybrid battery coded to the vehicle in any way?
What would stop a car with a current hybrid health certificate from swapping in a duff battery pack and getting Lexus to fix dead battery under warranty?
Managed to find two key fobs from the (former) owner of a GS450h that was destroyed in the big Merseyside fire. Fobs are undamaged of course.
Will get them both wiped. If anyone ever needs a spare fob let me know.
Got some Lexus branded roof bars specific to vehicle. However the door rubber seal is distorted slightly by them and allows some water into the cabin.
Anyone else had this problem?
Will be interesting to see the result.
Will be tricky to fill the car with wine in France without one when we come back from Switzerland.
I can put extra Mr Sheen on the box for more slippiness thru the air!
Brighton Grove Garage do Powerflow stainless exhausts, and have a giant Lexus specialist sign above their door. Plus owner has a GS450h, albeit with a dead battery.
Do not just roll up unannounced as parking is a nightmare!
