  2. Looking at the price of Mark Levinson audio products for the home ££££! I wonder what the actual value of the system in my car is.
  3. Baby Lexus (Toyota IQ😎) passed today. I noticed the air vent control knob is identical between the two cars.
  4. I came over to Lexus after 25 years of Saab. Had a 9-5 Aero as well. GS 450h is a tad faster than the Aero.
  5. Some plugs are tricksy to change. If mechanic has done this car before then indy will be fine. If not they may give up on a couple and pretend they have changed them all.
  6. Your next Lexus service will be 120k one. Will be new spark plugs. Heavy on labour costs.
  7. Not an F Sport then. Will be either SE or SE-L. That erroneous badge should in no way deter you from looking. Service history is everything, ideally Lexus as then you have hybrid battery guarantee already in place. Expensive bits will be rusty exhaust and weeping shocks.
  8. Always a great feeling when your Lexus bill is under a grand! My 100k one was a mere £630. So far I am £7500 in. Car plus two tyres, new radiator, new exhaust back end and a Lexus service.
  9. Starting to miss the mountains now. This picture sums up the month we spent there.
  10. If the exhaust is original then the rear boxes and y section may be ropey. My 2009 one also had a weepy radiator.
  11. I have a secondary monitor that shows pressures of individual tyres. This is maybe why my TPMS light on the dash did not trigger an advisory from the MOT man. Common sense prevailed.
  12. Saw a GS300 today. In Sussex too! Is yours black and full of kids?
  13. But we can be smug in the knowledge that we won't fail on emissions, as they don't test hybrids.
  14. So are we saying that the extra weight of a hybrid GS does not warrant a stiffer shock?
  15. Pah. I drove from Surrey to Lancashire in a Reliant Robin. Scariest thing I have ever done!
  16. She is 80 so new fangled handbrake is a new experience for her! Whine is only relative to mine.
  17. MIL just collected a brand new Yaris hybrid yesterday. Noted that electric motors were nowhere near as silent as my Lexus. When moving on the drive it sounded like a wind turbine. And she hates the electric handbrake button, and it is bigger than previous Yaris, and the colour choice is limited.
  18. If your key is the same as one for a GS450h then I have a couple of spares. You need them to be wiped and then you can clone it using your existing key. If you post a pic of your key fob we can compare.
  19. I did think that when I racked up to the testing station with a full charge.
  20. Every test I have had in past with previous cars I got the emissions printout. Just realised I did not with this last one. Garage I took it to thought it was electric when I rolled up (GS450h), but surely they didn't test it as such????
  21. My car also is due a recall according to MOT Gov website. Don't know what recall it is. Do Lexus not automatically check when car goes in for service? However Lexus website shows no recall due.
