  1. Well, tyres are on, alignment done and managed to drive home using the steering wheel without finding any ditches. Geocare is £130 now, and as far as manager concerned I can take it back for free alignment as many times as I like in the next two years. They don't count. Just turn up unannounced and they will fit me in.
  2. Took car in this morning. Half way through the job the whole road suffers a power cut. Staff bundled all the wheels and tyres they were working on into a van and drove off to another branch. All wheels were out of alignment, quelle surprise, but agreed to give the geo care package a go. ( I was going to do it anyway). I had to ask about it. There was no effort on their part to hard sell. Going back in the morning to pick it up.
  3. Looked into it a bit. Will be a neat and tidy install, but not the greatest dash cam available. Decided to go DIY. Not prepared to pay £100 for an invisible wire.
  4. Bloody hell. I followed a 600hL in Guildford today. Did not look at all flash. Very understated. Probably only a couple in every county.
  5. Booked in for two new tyres and 4 wheel Hunter alignment next week. Would not have normally thought of KwikFit.
  6. I got it to go out using the spare button. But light came back after 20 miles. You just need to decide how much you want to spend to extinguish a warning light that most of us have driven for 40 years without needing.
  7. ID has to be a 7 digit hexadecimal number, and presume frequency will have to be 433mhz. Best to get a cheapie tyre pressure monitor system. At least that tells you WHICH tyre is low if a light is triggered. TPMS code readers seem to be specific to certain types of system so any particular tyre fitting shop would need several different readers.
  8. Good news is it is not an MOT fail. Just a minor annoyance.....as long as the tyres stay inflated. Cost to get rid of light is too much in my opinion. (My light is on).
  9. I do love a white interior. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-LS600h-L-LWB-RSR-/114535475875?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 Unfortunately I cannot fit a 600 in my garage. My 450 fits with one inch to spare.
  10. Try resetting. Move car seat to max rear setting. Then max forward. Then max recline and finally max tilt forward. This worked for me after battery disconnect lost my memory function. (GS450h)
  11. Just normal unleaded here. Used to use super go go on my Turbo car. No need with normally aspirated I feel.

  13. Looking at the price of Mark Levinson audio products for the home ££££! I wonder what the actual value of the system in my car is.
  14. Baby Lexus (Toyota IQ😎) passed today. I noticed the air vent control knob is identical between the two cars.
  15. I came over to Lexus after 25 years of Saab. Had a 9-5 Aero as well. GS 450h is a tad faster than the Aero.
  16. Some plugs are tricksy to change. If mechanic has done this car before then indy will be fine. If not they may give up on a couple and pretend they have changed them all.
  17. Your next Lexus service will be 120k one. Will be new spark plugs. Heavy on labour costs.
  18. Not an F Sport then. Will be either SE or SE-L. That erroneous badge should in no way deter you from looking. Service history is everything, ideally Lexus as then you have hybrid battery guarantee already in place. Expensive bits will be rusty exhaust and weeping shocks.
