    Mine is a 59 plate but built a bit before yours, hence the cassette. Velvet Black is the colour. I have black interior but would have preferred the cream.

    Have you got the huuuge book on the nav system? Never bothered to open it myself. I have an expensive Tom Tom that keeps crashing. A Lexus onboard that is clunky. And a cheap Android phone that is speedy and easy to use. Guess which one I tend to use?

    You can drive it at a very sedate pace no problem. You have to push harder to put it in hooligan mode. A deliberate act. No excuse of "I wasn't told it was so quick" now!

    We certainly did not queue for chips. Drove to workaday Leiston, 5 miles away that was like a ghost town.

    Today I am asking why would you queue for an hour for lunchtime fish and chips on New Year's Day? Happened in Aldeburgh in Suffolk....a town so trendy it is just about to disappear up its own ***.

    How much??????? Nothing wrong with a car that has a few miles under its belt. Sellers seem to think low miles equals high money. Hybrid battery can be guaranteed by Lexus until 15 years old with a yearly check.

    Again I stand by what I said in regards my own financial situation. £40k spend on a car personally is doable, but ruinous financially. I am probably in the middle ground in terms of wealth. Obvs many cannot even contemplate running a 10 year old Lexus, but then I could not contemplate running a two year old one.

    Most I have ever spent on a car in the last 30 years is about £7k. (not a Lexus even) Agreed, if I was fool enough to part with £40k+ on a car I would deserve to be hammered by the government.

    Having said that I bought mine as a 5 owner car from a Polish guy who was about to skip the country. He had also put drug dealer wheels on it! It has been fine.

    Last two private owners owned it for 1 and 4 months only. At least one of them clearly did not like the car.

    Got to say over the mere two years I have had mine (mk 3) ((the better mark!!!!)) I have noticed a proliferation of hybrid cars since. None seem to have an engine bigger than a hairdryer though!

    If only one owner then a no brainer purchase at right price. Owner had wayyyy too much money and would not have skimped even though car was hardly used. When I say hardly that is hardly hardly. I would however think £15k would be closer to the mark than £25k.

    How about this scenario. Max crashes into Lewis and breaks both cars. Bottas stops at scene, jumps out of his car and gives it to Lewis who drives to finish in 10th place, thereby winning the championship.

    Wheels are prone to being very flakey. My radiator started weeping at just over 10 years old, replacement needed. £500 total bill Hopefully the big 10 year service has just been done at Lexus. c£700 I really don't think you can buy any other large petrol V8 equivalent car with sub 6 second 0-60 that will return 37mpg.

    Milk in first ensures the brew is less than 100 degrees. Makes for better infusion of the tea. Too much heat stews the tea. This is the theory. Also people who don't read the preceding posts.......(me).
