  1. New battery fitted perfectly and fired up a treat. Old battery still duff. UK sticker applied, Franch crit air sticker stuck, auto toll device hung, hi viz jackets stashed, warning triangle stowed, tyres pumped. Not bothering with beam deflectors as this car does not need them apparently officer.
  2. Red seatbelts looks a bit merchant banker. Rest of car looks good.
  3. Back seat!
  4. And space left over for a picnic!
  5. This time next week will be in France just opening a bottle....
  6. White one is mine. Others are for the wife. Strange that....
  7. Ok Will these fit in the boot of an SC430?
  8. One for you to analyse Bob. "Concours" http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202403278008784
  9. https://robbreport.com/motors/marine/lexus-new-luxury-yacht-1235560369/ Obviously inspired by the SC430.
  10. That will explain why the table didn't fire up. Today I have been measuring all my suitcases and doing volumetric calculations based on the cubic capacity of the boot. I think I have cracked the Tetris puzzle. Will do the dry fitting run when it actually is dry.
  11. Todays dining table ornament.
  12. Got to have the mindset that this is the equivalent of £100k car in todays money. Also....will a £100k car bought today last 20 years? I think not!
  13. 2017....might only be able to read 32GB. Was a lot way back then.
  14. How many 34,000 mile cars will have had a recent cambelt change? Is it miles or age that kills shocks, belts and exhaust? Agreed that price is ok if everything is good though and a car that is one owner and has been garaged all its life is very appealing. I have just passed the £10k total spend mark with buying a new battery. New exhaust will be next biggie.
  15. Or buy a new one! Makes sense to get it in as good a state as possible before its big adventure.
  16. Before Easter Existing battery seems good for one fire up. Starting it up just to take it in out of garage and messing with aerial motor appears too much for a third fire up.
  17. Managed to get one £94 delivered. Yuasa YBX5096 Halfords have HSB5096....the previous iteration.
  18. I shall get a silver Yuasa from Halfords and attempt to use my 15% discount card that has been sitting idle in my wallet for years.
  19. Needed jump starting again. We did run the antenna motor a fair few times in our efforts to insert new mast, but having driven 40 miles on Wednesday maybe the 12v battery is getting old. it is approx 6 years old now. Is a Yuasa. What is the gold standard battery for this car? https://www.mlperformance.co.uk/products/genuine-lexus-28800-yzzzh-sc430-starter-battery ??? Or choice of... https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/f/toyota-oem/28800-yzzae/ There is a lot going on as soon as you open door and put key in ignition, electric wise.
  20. Lexus red flagged two of my shocks. One was indeed stuffed, so not just fishing for work.
  21. Throttle controller plumbed in. Have to say I am not overly impressed. Economy mode does slow things down a bit but hooligan mode with TCS turned off did not light up the tyres. But at least it does something and has a bypass mode and only cost £22.
  22. All good and working. Just refitting carpets in between showers.
  23. All good again. Just have to get rid of insulation tape residue. Colour looks ok from 10 feet. When I take it to paint shop will get it matched.
  24. Coming up north on Weds in the Lexus to enjoy the rain.
