Landed in our little gite for a couple of nights. Only thing to report was a couple of times the alarm went off. Both times when I was having a comfort break on the motorway. Going to smash the 400 mile tank mark this time. Reduced the cruise to 2000 rpm, about 75 mph.

Bad news chaps. Brim to brim mpg is lower than computer estimate! Only got 28.2. Filled up with 98 ron.

Ah but you probably book in at 5 star hotels. My 3 nights in a Normandy farmhouse costs £37 a night!

Mine has 108,000 miles. Any car could break down. Look at all the Audis and Mercs on the hard shoulders.

All pre booked. I think I have found the source of my boot leak. The rubber seal is bonded to the car...some has come unstuck at base of rear screen. Wedged with a bit of cork....survived last nights rain.

Will miss Salamanca. Both my stays on the way down and back are either side.

Just in Normandy atm. On a goat cheese farm. Drive to Bordeaux area on Saturday.

Only 2 miles from a fuel station. This is irksome though.

340 miles driven today. Staying in Normandy for a few nights now. Still quarter of a tank left. Bit of a leak in the boot just under rear screen.

Sat nav upgraded to 2024 spec.

New battery fitted perfectly and fired up a treat. Old battery still duff. UK sticker applied, Franch crit air sticker stuck, auto toll device hung, hi viz jackets stashed, warning triangle stowed, tyres pumped. Not bothering with beam deflectors as this car does not need them apparently officer.
