  1. Maybe the wheels I chose will be fine with the drop I want, who knows. Can I ask how much you spent for the NA-T conversion? It's something I would like to do in the future. Also, have you done a manual swap?
  2. Oh but I guess he's using lowering springs, not BCs.
  3. I was just looking on this website this week to check 😁 https://www.fitmentindustries.com/wheel-offset-gallery/1143281/2002-lexus-is300-avid1-av32-eibach-lowering-springs The wheels I want are a copy of these and it seems to be fine 🤷‍♂️
  4. Wow they're wider than I thought. I'm wanting to fit these: https://www.driftworks.com/japan-racing-jr-wheels-jr29-17x8-et35-5x100-114-3-matt-bronze.html Do you think I'll have any issues? I'll most likely go with some 225/45s on the front and 235/45s on the rear.
  5. That's pretty much the same drop as I want. What size are those wheels? 🙂 Back wheels look wider than the front. Are speed bumps an issue?
  6. How low have you gone? Do you have a picture to show how it looks please?
  7. Modifications are 100% going to happen, but I'll keep all of the stock parts in the garage so I can revert to stock if I need to! 🙂
  8. Damn it... that's the first thing I was going to do, but now I can't edit it haha! Thank you!
  9. How comfortable is the ride with the 10/6? Stiffer ride than stock or about the same?
  10. Okay I can't get the pictures to embed 😄
  11. Well, I finally did it... I bought an IS300 and sold the IS200 today. It was very sad to see it go back I've put a lot of time into that car, but it's time to move on to a bigger and better platform! I bought the IS200 back in Feb 2020 for £1950. I proceeded to put around £1000 into it and sold it for £3200 today. I paid £4000 for the 300 last week. Here she is... Plans for the short and long term will be: BC RS coilovers (I have no idea what spring rate but I'd like it close to stock). I'll lower it around 40-50mm. HKS Silent Hi-power exhaust JR29 wheels in bronze with some decent rubber A few cosmetic mods such as a front lip and LED lights for the rear. I may also open up the headlights and make them a little darker. NA-T conversion for around 300whp. CD009 manual swap because auto is... auto 😁 If you have any idea what spring rate will give me good handling and a decent comfortable ride, please let me know. Perhaps 10/8? The 300 is a totally different car. The steering is heavier, the handling is a little stiffer, the 2JZ makes it SO much more enjoyable to drive. That low down torque is such a massive improvement over the 200. Anyways, this will be the build thread. I'm happy to finally be in the 300 club! 😁 If you'd like to follow along via YouTube, I will be posting videos of EVERYTHING I do to the IS300 here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCngPT2nnenUOFOhmZl7CJVw
  12. I managed to pick up a dark green (6R4), 2002 IS300 with 99k miles. 18 services over 18 years. No rust at all. Black interior. Incredible condition. £4k 🙂 IS200 should be sold over the weekend for a good price! I'll add more info later with pictures and plans! 🙂 All I'll say for now is... it's a TOTALLY different animal! 2JZ for life! 😁
  13. So...... I got one! 😁
  14. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Lexus-IS200-IS300-Toyota-Altezza-SXE10-High-Rise-spoiler-/114459243936 😁
  15. I have a video of this that may be useful to you 🙂 Good luck!
  16. If I have another sedan or coupe, I honestly wouldn't mind. But, for my only car, I want the sedan for sure. I'll just have to be patient and have faith that the right car will come along in time.
  17. There's only Sportscross models for sale at the moment 😟

    WANTED: IS300

Not sure if 'wanted' posts are allowed here, if not then please remove 😁 Looking for a well looked after IS300, 2001-2004. I'm specifically looking for: Sedan model, not Sportscross. No rust issues. Black interior. Preferably under 100k miles. FSH. No modifications. I'd prefer it not to be silver but if everything else is good, this may not matter. TTE kit would be a massive bonus. Don't care about sat nav. Please let me know if you're looking to sell. I'm looking for a nice example that I can take care of myself. Thanks. Paul
  19. Red: low oil pressure Yellow/Orange: low oil level Fill it up a little more and see if it goes away. It could be a false reading if the car is on a slope of some kind. Good luck!
  20. I think the general consensus seems to be... burn the clutch a little and it goes away. When I bought my IS200 last winter, I had the same issue. After burning the clutch a little, I haven't had a problem since! 😁
  21. Lexus all day, but I'm biased 😉 Either was, you can't really go wrong with either. They're both awesome cars! Good luck.
  22. Give this guy a shout: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100010481166563 He's the main guy on the FB pages that everyone goes to for IS1 parts.
  23. Thanks for watching 🙂
  24. Not as relaxed as you think 😄 I still can't fully be myself and I'm still very self-conscious on camera. It doesn't help when you have a dorky Liverpool accent either haha! Luckily it's not too strong! 🙄 Once I get my IS300 I will continue to create content including, suspension mods, wheels, turbo kit, manual swap etc. Perhaps you can give me some tips along the way since I'm looking to go the NA-T route. Your IS300 build looks amazing! Thanks for watching, I appreciate that. Paul P.S - I'm also planning a trip to Japan to film some drifting and other car stuff, but with everything that's going on in the world, it won't likely be any time soon! 🤣
  25. Everyone please ignore this information. I've had a decat manifold on my car and I felt absolutely no difference whatsoever. The IS200 is NOT a tuner friendly car. The IS300 with a turbo conversion and a standalone ECU however...
