  1. Ah, right. PeteTP
  2. I’ve been a customer of theirs for 14 years and never so much have I seen or been offered a cable(s). They mustn’t like me. PeteTP
  3. For those that may be interested, Dashcam fitting booked for 20/9. I will let you know when it’s done and my opinion of this much praised innovation. PeteTP
  4. Thnx Herbie for sharing that. I’ve agreed to the Nextbase and arrangements are in place. Anyway, I was not so much as expecting a ‘parked mode’ or the like! PeteTP
  5. PS Nextbase not as clever as Blackvue as it appears not to have a buffer enabling recording of images pre-impact whilst in parked mode. Nevertheless, not a show-stopper. PeteTP
  6. Parked mode looks excellent . PeteTP
  7. 👍LenT P
  8. Great stuff. Will do. Cheers LenT PeteTP
  9. Oh how these pearls of wisdom flow! Just wonderful - thank you. PeteTP
  10. LenT - TVM for the definitive answers. This will keep me occupied today…..and probably beyond! PeteTP
  11. Morning LenT, Please would you enlighten me on the ‘recording with ignition off’ aspect? Does this mean that it starts recording immediately the car is unlocked? If the car were unlocked for some time, how is the battery min voltage protected? Apologies in advance if these questions are implausibly stupid! TVM. PeteTP
  12. Top man Herbie. I’ve registered for a heads up when they come back into stock. Id be lost without the facility to access members’ knowledge - brilliant. TVM. PeteTP
  13. LenT, You’ve raised great points that I confess I had not thought of and/or known about. I see no reason not to heed your advice so I will plan on mimicking your method of operation. If it’s okay with you may I return to these points with (perhaps stupid) questions as I’m a late entrant to the dashcam market. TVM. PeteTP
  14. £349.99 inc VAT fitted and valet the car. That’ll do nicely! Will provide feedback when fitted. Thank you to each and every contributor; always appreciated enormously. PeteTP
  15. Hello again, Ive heard from Lexus Ipswich and they can/will fit the 380GWX. However I still waiting on the all important price. Keep you advised. PeteTP
  16. Hello Kev, Whao! That car looks superb. What’s not to like. Dashcam looks like a fine job in all respects. I’m still awaiting a response from Ipswich but will be giving them a nudge imminently. Hope you have many years of pleasure behind the wheel of that utter beauty. PeteTP
  17. Good job Herbie! PeteTP
  18. Thanks Kev….top info for which I’m most grateful. Now to get a quote from Ipswich!! BTW……Very neat job and no untidy irritating wires I hope? Easy to work? Will keep you in the loop pal. Enjoy that IS-F missile🏎 PeteTP
  19. Oooh Kev now you’re talking. Oh yes please- absolutely. V keen to see them. May I ask how much they stung you to supply and fit? Pete
  20. Thanks chaps for keeping this thread alive. Don’t expect to hear from Lexus til after the BH weekend. Will of course pass on the outcome. Backvue product on the investigation list, TVM. Finally for now, Mike246 may I wish you many thousands of snagfree miles in your new steed. I got mine Jul ‘20 and am (unsurprisingly) delighted XXL with it. I hope you’ll feel the same way. BFN PeteTP
  21. Hello again, This is proving (for me) to be a healthy discussion for which I’m grateful. When I get an answer and the accompanying reason I will of course share it with you all. 🤞that Lexus will come up with the goods. Much obliged for your generosity of sharing. Cheers, PeteTP
  22. Quite so. But the compatibility list that I looked at as published by LEXUS does not include the ES. Perhaps it’s me being a pedant but it something that I’m seeking clarification on. TVM as always as all inputs are useful. PeteTP
  23. Hello gentlemen, As usual, thank you for your input. Mikey2001 you’re thinking matches mine regarding cost. The kicker is compatibility with the ES hasn’t been Lexus U.K. verified. Having been the ‘Village Idiot’ for 2 decades now DIY retrofitting would end up being a monumental error. So, if I’m going to do it, I’ll need Lexus mainline expertise. Plus, in the unlikely ever of a snag, I can invite them to rectify the issue(s). Thanks for the continued support and interest in my information gathering exercise; greatly appreciated. PeteTP
  24. PS I note that this model isn’t compatible with my Lexus.
  25. Thanks gentlemen. I’m awaiting a response from Ipswich but will pursue Parts Direct too for info. keep you advised. TVM
