  1. MIles, If you are the user I think you are, I felt you went too far during that period, perhaps Admin felt the same. Did you create any other accounts? Sometimes it is better to stop, than escalate, reading back then I felt you crossed a line, only my opinion of course. I hope you will continue to post and enjoy the mostly positive forum this is. Not always of course, but it is usually new users that fall under the watchful eye of Admin. A learning curve perhaps. Most of us are here because we love the Lexus brand, and from my point of view this is a amazing resource of information. 99 out of 100 users are great and accept different opinions exist. Overall, I find this a very positive forum, with some great humour. Best wishes.
  2. I would wait. Why pay more for a lower spec car?
  3. I did wonder why you appeared to join again. Very sad news about John, he will be missed by many of us.
  4. They do not require bank details. Would not give those to a survey.
  5. Do not think it is thinking, it just some time for the sensors to react. A slight delay.
  6. I think that is the case.
  7. Not available on mine. As said before Lexus made some strange choices on what to include as standard at different trims. I have an F Sport with Tech pack and Convenience pack, includes just about all the tech you could want other than auto folding mirrors. Why not those, no idea. Still love the car.
  8. HI Nick, mine does make a difference when used, but it does take a little time to alter, could be 30 seconds. So you do not see a change quickly. I tend to leave it and let the system on auto work it out.
  9. NO. I use the button inside the car, fold the mirrors in, turn off the car. Then press the button again to open the mirrors, this means that when I next start the car the mirrors open automatically. Not as good as full auto folding, but as close as I can get.
  10. Glad it has been sorted, would not have thought that from the message "Check Hybrid system". Hope your MPG sorts itself out soon, that is quite a difference.
  11. Good for you! Does that make you feel better?
  12. That is the point. That is their pricing structure. The basic price includes the two colours stated, they offer options to these at an extra cost, in your case they price the extra option of painting in Azure Blue as £920. You are free to go elsewhere, and find the same issue. Are you being serious?
  13. The price of choosing Azure Blue as a colour is £920 extra. You do not have to make this choice. All car makers do this.
  14. This is a post from Las Palmas, might answer your question. In the CT I use DVD with m4a files 512kbps. More than 20 hours of music on one DVD. Music and picture of disc on the DVD but not on USB. Have a 32Gb USB with same type music and have no idea how long-time music would play, but probably enough to drive from southern Spain to Norway without hearing same tune twice. Mostly cannot hear any difference between 512kbps and lossless. Only when parked in a very quiet place. ML audio is better than any standard audio in even 3 times more expensive cars.
  15. This is the one failing with Lexus, they fail to add auto folding mirrors to all the range even though the wiring is in place, because the windows fold manually using the provided switch. Strange saving to choose when they add so much other tech as standard. As said, I have also decided to live with it, I manually fold the windows when leaving the car.
  16. Sorry to hear this, difficult change for anyone. Hope you see an improvement long term.
  17. Too much. No thnaks.
  18. Yes that changed in March 2017.
  19. Good news.
  20. Head lamps on the2018 onwards F Sport and above with Tech Pack are LED Projectors, so LED high and low beam. You can tell which is which as the DLR are at the top rather than bottom of the headlights. They also have different rear lamps, picture attached. You also get a larger spoiler.
  21. Sorry should have mentioned that. J for Japan. Quickest way to tell.
  22. Today, Lexus models are made in several locations in Japan, Canada, and the United States that are high-quality and provide an exceptional upgrade to your travels. Popular locations of Lexus vehicles are being produced in the follow places: Tahara, Japan — LS, GS, IS, GX, RX, & NX Toyota City, Japan — ES, LX, LFA, & LC Kitakyushu, Japan — CT, HS, & RX Miyawaka, Japan — ES, IS, RX, NX, & UX Susono, Japan — SC Cambridge, Ontario, Canada — NX, NX hybrid, RX & RX hybrid Georgetown, Kentucky, USA — ES
  23. I think the rain sensor is in the centre unit. Think it is this - the camera for the auto headlamps/road sign recognition. Also auto high beam if fitted.
  24. Traction battery powers the hybrid system which is about 288 volts. Connect to this, they touch the CC, shock ending. Not allowed of course!!! 😒
