    From my experience, reject the car and get your money back. I had this with another Lexus dealership. Ended up going through the motoring ombudsman and won my case 5 years later. Wouldn't wish it on anyone. Sounds like standards have slipped at Swindon which is a shame.

    The speed reading doesn't come from the gearbox on the ISF. It takes it from the abs rings on each wheel

    If it had a major service and spark plugs changed during the 60k service. I'd just do an oil and filter. Low mileage means the oil can become contaminated with fuel from cold starts and not getting up to temperature

    That chrome trim comes off without taking the door apart, mine has also gone spotty from the sun. I'm waiting to take mine to a wrapping company, and see what they can do. Its only a rubber/vinyl strip.

    When my OEM 08 suspension fails, I'll be looking to get the HKS Hipermax, or stick with OEM 2008 spec springs but paired with 2013-2014 dampers. Main problem with the ISF is that it's undersprung and overdamped

    I wouldn't do it. There's no reason why he can't purchase the car first, and do all that after, when he owns it. At least to my mind anyway.

    @Rob RCF Lotus were going to use the ISF spec 2UR-GSE in the proposed Esprit, maybe with a supercharger on top too. Unfortunately it got canned. There's currently one of the 2UR engines Lotus ordered for sale on eBay

    I didn't get an alignment after they were installed. Steering was spot on and no inner tyre wear anymore
