  1. Came across this on YouTube today. not tested or verified, though it might be of interest
  2. I received an email confirming I had a 1 year warranty. No documents as such, just an email.
  3. I suggest that the value or re-acquiring servicing for vehicles 3 to 10 years old vastly outweighs the cost of the relatively few people that pay to extend their warranty
  4. I think for us (LC owners) it's a no-brainer. I can see that those with older models will see an increase in servicing costs. I guess Toyota/Lexus see the potential uplift in service fees will outweigh the loss of extended warranty fees. I 'm sure they have some research which tells them how many customers take out the extended warranty. Interesting to see in the T&C's that "any replaced parts become the property of Lexus"..... !
  5. Pretty much exactly the same story for me Larry. Tried a few options, M8, C63 etc. Every time I see mine and get in I am reminded that I made the best decision. Mine is one of the first 2017 models with HUD & ML so no recalls but still have sticky filler cap. A little WD40 and a quick practice before leaving home seems to avoid the forecourt embarrassment.
  6. Had my service last year in the first lockdown, and deferred mot just last week. Both at Lincoln. Very happy with service and arrangements for customers.
  7. forgive my ignorance but that looks like the horizon in 3D map view. do you have the blue line on the menu screen?
  8. Seem to have solved my sticky flap with a bit of WD40 too....
  9. Beautiful Gordon, congratulations! You’ll love it. Just taken mine for a 1200m trip across Scotland.
  10. Yes, I know what you mean. Although there were a couple of sections of single track with passing places, we deliberately stuck to A roads where possible. Road quality? Some roughness, similar to our Lincolnshire roads, don’t remember any potholes at all 🙂
  11. Entirely unscientific Malcolm, just the onboard reading. I will say that we planned on fuelling around £50 per day when £40 filled to the brim.
  12. Feeling fulfilled and, if I'm honest, slightly smug - first let me tell you a story... It was a dark and stormy night, well actually it was last November when I bought my LC, just couldn't wait for the good weather, just had to buy it! We always enjoy a great road trip and our favourite destination is Scotland. You can imagine how much we were looking forward to talking the LC for a tour. Finally, last week we managed to get away, I have to say it was amazing, taking a true GT across mountain passes and straight open roads. We covered just over 1200 miles, not quite the NC500 but all the places we love none the less. As you can imagine, with a car needing regular fill ups, we planned a little to make sure we weren't caught short. Previous we hadn't bothered so much as we've toured around in a diesel BMW.... So we planed for 20/25 mpg based on fairly spirited driving, which we did. Imagine my surprise when the final average for the whole trip came out at - wait for it - 35.5mpg, even reaching 39.1mpg on one of the days. So, as well as having a wonderful time roaring through the Glens in a big and soulful V8, we even saved on our fuel budget - can't wait for our next road trip.
  13. I use Premium 95 RON in mine, never tried the 98 RON. I think the notice means more in USA as they have the sub-premium unleaded which we don’t get in UK
  14. Thanks AJ, I’m still on the original Pilot Sport after 7k Which Dunlop’s are you on? I haven’t seen runflat Dunlop’s for sale anywhere, just seems to be Pirelli or Michelin.
  15. ...that is the question... So, in the not too distant future I’m going to need new tyres. I had previously changed my BMW to standard tyres resulting in less noise and better ride. I’m tempted to do the same for my LC 500 (21” wheels) Has anyone swapped their run flats to standard tyres? Any recommendations? Which inflation kit do you carry? Thanks
