Ageas/RIAS gave me a competitive quote when I last re-newed.

I've also found that fuel comsumption is heavily affected by ambient temperatures, with a marked difference now we are heading into summer (I tend to average around 38mpg in summer, but only around 30mpg in winter).
-
My 2019 RX only came with the Quick Start manual, but I was able to order the full manuals free of charge from cr@lexus.co.uk, if your preference is to refer to a printed manual.

I was previously insured with More Than, but they too seemed to have pulled out of the car insurance market. RIAS were quite competitive when I renewed last year.

In the past I've always asked things like does the dealership know if the car has been smoked in previously, or been used to carry pets by the previous owner(s), if these things are an issue for you. But as others have said, a 2020 car should mostly be in very good condition.

My 70 reg RX has only done 12K miles but I learned today when it was in to have the anti-theft plates fitted that the front tyres are almost down to 3 mil. Whilst they are still legal, this does seem odd - bought the car from the Lexus dealer only 6 months ago when it had just 11K miles.
Seems excessive - is that rate of wear normal on 20" Bridgestone Duellers?
I would say this is a little excessive, but may be down to the driving style of the previous owner. Having said that, the RX is hardly a car to throw into the corners 😄 My 2019 RX still has it's original Bridgestone Duelers, and has about 5mm at the front at 6mm at the rear after 17k miles (owned from 3 months old where it had only done 7 miles).

I have the pre-facelift Gen 4 RX, I believe that uses signage / camera only and not any map data.
I too have a pre-facelift 4RX. I also believe this to be true, but sometimes the nav will revert to the national speed limit sign when a speed limit has been displayed and then passed, e.g. temporary speed restriction signs on motorways.

Hi Chaz, welcome to the forums and congrats on your new purchase.
I don't often drop the seats in mine - from memory the levers can be a bit stiff - but yes, those levers should drop the back seats down.

This is very sad news. Condolences to all of John's friends and family, he will be a much missed member of this forum.

I've had my pre-facelift 2019 RX 450h for 3 years, no issues whatsoever with seat comfort 🙂

My RX is still on the factory fitted Bridgestone Duelers. They seem OK to me, but maybe there are better choices out there. I shall be keeping a look out when mine are needing to be changed 🙂

Perhaps suggest the Hyundai i10 as well.
Kia Picanto might be worth a look at too (almost identical to the i10).

Furthermore, I believe the NX has new gen hyb/battery that allow the EV to be used up to 70 mph, compared to 30-ish mph for the RX. Correct me if I am wrong.
The Mk4 RX is able to do about 45mph on the Battery alone, in the right conditions of course 🙂

I suspect this might be the case. My roadside assistance would have ended at the end of September, but I received a letter (can't remember exactly when, but around May 2020?) stating that they were giving me a 3 months roadside assistance extension until the end of December.

Thank you for all the information guys. What is the annual road tax for the 2017, 2018 or 2019 model year?
For RXs first registered upto and including 31st March 2017, the current rate is £165 per year. For RXs first registered after that date, the current rate is £510 per year (£155 rate for alternative fuel cars, plus £355 for cars with an original list price greater than £40k, until the car reaches 6 years of age).

Congratulations on the purchase.
We're looking at potentially upgrading from our CT200h to a 2018 or 2019 RX450h. What kind of MPG do you guys get from your RX450h?
Thank you.
My average is about 35.6 MPG over about 13500 miles (mixture of town, rural and motorway driving).

Could a new owner have put a private plate on the car? I saw something similar with one of my older cars (couldn't find it via MoT checks), and then it reappeared a few years later (when presumably the original reg plate was reapplied).

I got a full tank when I bought my RX from Milton Keynes.

How did you manage to get a courtesy car at all? And how did they allow you to choose a certain model? Every time I asked one there was nothing available in the next 2-3 weeks. And I didn’t even have a specific need, just a regular car with 4 wheels and tyres.
No issues from Lexus Stockport either regarding courtesy cars for my last 2 services, and the fuel pump recall. I didn't get to choose the courtesy cars (but then again, I didn't ask), but I was more than happy to use one CT and two UXs on those occasions. Was interesting to drive them, and get a basic understanding what the cars are like.

Actual Fuel Tank Capacity
in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club

I have a 2019 RX450h which has the same size fuel tank. I don't routinely do this, but there was one occasion in the Scottish Highlands when I drove about 40 miles beyond the point at which the on board computer said there was 0 left, and when I finally stopped to brim the tank I managed to put in just over 60 litres. But this would mean there was still over a gallon (in old money) left, good for another 35-40ish miles based on my average fuel consumption.
