  1. Ok, here goes 😁.. Almost same as here .. , - Bilt Hamber are superb products and very reasonably priced.. I do the wheels/arches first though and once a month use Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel and a coat of Chemical Guys Bare Bones for the arches. Occasional coat of Bilt Hamber Cleanser Polish followed by their brilliant Double Speed Wax. If I'm in a rush, Auto Glym Aqua Wax is great for a layer of protection (can be applied to a rinsed and still wet car) before drying off. Oh, and CarPro PERL for the interior and exterior plastics/rubber is great too !😁
  2. My go-to tyres of choice are either Bridgestone Dueller or Falken. Both have been excellent all year round tyres which I've used for the past 10 years.
  3. If you need an alternative, I've used paints4u many times including for Lexus, Mazda, Jaguar and Landrover, and always found them to be excellent. https://www.paints4u.com
  4. Interesting thread, - on the related point about trickle chargers, (I too use the CTEK MXs 5.0), is it ok to connect them to the dedicated +charging access point and appropriate -bare metal point under the bonnet rather than directly to the battery housed in the rear of the car ? I reverse into my garage so just thinking it'll be much easier to connect at the front if ok to do so. Thanks in advance. Carl.
  5. I've used paints4u.com many times in the past including for Lexus, Jaguar, Landrover, and Rover. They've always been very good colour matches in my experience.
  6. Another vote here for the CTEK MXS 5.0....great bit of kit.
  7. I've left it a while just to make sure but …… the noise seems to have gone. Thanks for all the suggestions. I did move the rear seats between the various positions and that does seem to have coincided with the noise disappearing so hopefully that was the cause of the issue. Cheers all, Carl.
  8. I've not driven the NX so can't comment on that model. However, although I've only owned my 2015 RX450h F sport since January and covered just about 700 miles, I can say that the RX is a very impressive and seemingly capable vehicle. The RX is comfortable, quiet, has plenty of space and loads of equipment. It's a lovely place to be too .... I'd driven a Range Rover sport supercharged for the last 10 years so probably it would be an unfair direct comparison to that vehicle but I've gotten used to the RX very quickly and can definitely say that I'm very happy with my own RX experience so far and would happily recommend it. Carl
  9. Thanks very much all for the replies on this one 👍 Carl.
  10. I tried to find clarification on this one in the manual but can't seem to see anything ... So, is the CD player in the ML Audio System a single or multi disc changer ? If it is multi, does it take 6 loaded at a time ? Car is a last of the 3rd generation RX450h F sport registered 2015. Thanks in advance. Carl.
  11. Thanks FA, I'll have a look at the '20' of the rear seats tomorrow.. Excuse the ignorance but how do I go about looking for a 'snapped coil spring' and would there be any other symptoms if this were to be the cause of the noise ? Thank you. Carl.
  12. Really interesting write up Nigel, thank you. - especially helpful to me as a new RX450H owner.. This might help you, - you can disable the keyless entry through the customizable features settings ( page 643 of the main manual refers - it worked for me ) Carl.
  13. Nigel, Les, many thanks for the replies .. Yes, main dealer acquired and I went for the additional 2 for 1 extended warranty.. I'll have a look into those suggestions.. Cheers, Carl
