  1. Hi Ian I had the same circumstances with LV. Been a loyal(?) customer for over 40 years with no claims whatsoever and out of the blue comes an email saying they are declining renewal on my CT F Sport. When I called to question the decision, I was told the reasons were high repair costs and theft. My car is 11 years old and garaged, so I think the risks are pretty low as I live on a farm in Sussex. I was also told by the LV rep on the phone that they are also refusing to insure some types of Honda Jazz .............!!!!!!! Also have an NX F Sport which LV are happy to continue insuring, but again, when I approached them for a quote to change my CT insurance to a 2 year old RX 450H they also declined. Finally got my CT insured through AXA at a cost similar to last year. Regards Ray
  2. Hello I hope my story may help. I originally bought a Thinkware F800 Pro Dashcam for my CT 200 and had it installed professionally through a company recommended by the RAC. I have had no problems with reception even though it is an early car(2013 F Sport). I purchased the same dashcam for my 2016 NX F Sport and had it professionally fitted and had continuous signal drop. I contacted the installers who came back and installed the ferrite cores still to no avail. The installer was very efficient and investigated the problem and decided it was the plug in lead interfering with the Dab aerial. Eventually the company asked me to try another dashcam that didn't have a plug-in wire into the camera but rather one that had it's own prewired "screened" loom. They exchanged the unit for a Thinkware F790 and the problem was resolved. I hope that's an understandable explanation and hope it helps you. May be worth looking on the RAC website but sadly this wont help your current dilemma having already bought a Dashcam! I have to say that I do like the Thinkware dashcams, as they have the benefit of many features including verbal warning of speed cameras, their distance away, and the legal speed limit. Regards Ray
  3. Hi I had a similar problem on my 2008 RX400h. I discovered that the sensor on the screen had a gelatinous membrane between it and the screen which had deteriorated. I diagnosed it by pressing against the sensor when there was light rain and the intermittent wipers worked ok. I bought an aftermarket membrane and carefully installed it and had no problem after that. I have a CT F Sport but I must admit I havent looked to see if the sensor is similar to the RX. I hope this helps. Ray

  5. Hi Mr Moon I think I have those particular wheels on My F Sport. I live on a farm and with the current weather conditions my car is in a real dirty state! Once I get it cleaned up I will send you a photo. Mine are Anthracite and the car is Black. Regards
