  1. Or this site: https://www.megazip.net/zapchasti-dlya-avtomobilej/toyota/lexus-ls-42404/ucf20-55848/ucf20r-aepgkw-937332
  2. Or this one: https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1304394 No information about the actual car for sale, so careful questioning needed, but it does have an MoT until next year.
  3. I got mine from Lexus Parts Direct. From memory the postage was about £7.00.
  4. This is probably more in the OP's price range. On the plus side the timing belt has been done and the heated seats work, apparently! I'm not sure about the long term caring owner criteria though. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-LS400/303867684860?hash=item46bfece7fc:g:TPgAAOSwRnZgFqZJ
  5. Mine are Rover 3.9 and Chevrolet LS1. Wow!
  6. V8 Morris Minor Going totally off topic, with apologies to the OP, I wonder if anyone has put a Lexus V8 in one.
  7. I found that Lexus batteries are competitive and will fit perfectly.
  8. It's not me selling. I was just trying to be helpful.
  9. I think the problem might be finding a perfect pair to use as templates.
  10. Their removal doesn't seem to detract from the aesthetics, and I'm sure most people would notice if they were damaged, but not if they were missing!
  11. That seems expensive. I paid £197 last year through Adrian Flux for a limited mileage policy of 3,000 miles p.a. Agreed Value is available for an extra £15.
  12. This is the reply I had last year from LPD about the front splitters: Subject: Re: Front Lower Corner Splitter Good morning Howard Unfortunately, these have been discontinued. Their full part numbers are 76852-50030 for N/S and 76851-50050 for O/S. Daniel Walker Parts Supervisor Lexus Parts Direct
  13. Wise choice, but like any car, regardless of price, they have their foibles, so at the risk of teaching an elderly relative to suck eggs it might be useful to read some of the articles in this topic: There is a section on here with cars for sale, but there doesn't seem to be any LS400s listed at present. Good luck with your hunt.
  14. Is this the right green? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-LS400-MK4-97-00-VVTI-BREAKING-SPARES/324398380295?hash=item4b87a67507:g:tu4AAOSwSzFZY9Sg
  15. I think the lower bumper corner trims are called splitters by Lexus, but I'm fairly sure they are no longer available. Like @Malc I removed mine. Strangely they don't seem to be shown on any of the parts websites. On the other hand, we might be barking up the wrong tree, since you haven't specified why you need a front bumper, although getting one in the correct colour might be something of a challenge I suspect.
  16. RACs plan has no vehicle age limit.
  17. And here's another one, only 12 months old: https://classicsworld.co.uk/classic-car-price-guide/lexus-ls400-buyers-guide/
  18. Out of curiosity I rang Lexus Parts Direct to establish the build date of my 1996 model, which apparently was built in April 1995. It was helpful because these are the options on Amayama's website, and it saves dismantling to investigate. For example, my ECU, which was only used for 8 months, is 50251, substituted by 50252, but not 50351. Hopefully this helps. 19. Hopefully it's the small black connector to the right of the gear selector in this picture: Maybe it has been tucked behind something, which could explain why your cigarette lighter doesn't work!
  20. Thank you @plexus914 and @steve2006. No doubt the sensible option is to check continuity first, which presumbly is done with the seat in situ.
  21. Perhaps I will give it a try when the weather improves, but by then it will be too late! Also, how does one test it in the warmer weather?
  22. I came across the following on another forum. Has anyone been brave enough to remove their seats and have a go? "I repaired my seat heater the other day. In my 96 LS400 the element is two wire and a ground, three pin connector. The two wires converge at the ground so you should have continuity between all three pins. I found that the wires work hardened and burned in the folded flap between pads in my seats. A little flux, solder, and wire and it was back together."
  23. I've always found Car and Classic's website very good. It tends to attract serious buyers, and it's free.
