Just had my 2014 NX for about one month during summer. Having owned a hybrid Auris 2016 avg 53mpg, Prius 2018 avg 65mpg, I consider myself a gentle reasonable good hybrid aware driver. I try to accelerate gently without trying to annoy other drivers and try to anticipate in advance the road ahead to perform as much braking with the electric motors as possible. The NX is a large heavy SUV and I was never expecting Prius mileage. So far in summer I'm getting 35-40mpg around town with some short motorway trips. I just completed a long motorway drive to Cornwall from South Wales and averaged 41mpg. NX is about luxury cruising. I find if you put you foot down the mpg falls dramatically. Drive sensibly and enjoy the comfort:)

Relay attack works by using two connected transceivers to fool the car into thinking the key is by the car and the key into thinking the car is by the key. They do not need to understand the security only just to pass the same data back and forth bridging the additional distance. I also have got into the routine of disabling the key at night with the button press sequence described in the thread above. But it does kind of spoil the convenience of why the feature was created in the first place. If you can live without the keyless entry feature I believe you can disable door entry in the vehicle settings menu of the NX. For sure the dealer can disable. I have heard that on some new cars the keys have a motion sensor and go to sleep after some period of being still.

Recently purchased a 2014 NX300h. After about a week I started to get a horrible mouldy smell through the vent on startup. My experience is that aircon bombs are a complete waste of money. I had the same problem in my Toyota Auris, I purchased the official Toyota "airco" foam 500ml cleaner. It comes with a long plastic pipe and metal nozzle with fine holes. You can remove the glove box and access the evaporator drain in the passenger foot well (Seems identical design on my Auris, Prius and NX). Follow the instructions on the can but basically you disconnect the rubber drain pipe, insert the nozzle right inside the evaporator and empty about half the can into the system. It fills the entire inner workings of the evaporator with expanding foam and kills all the nasty bacteria. Fit the drain pipe immediately back and leave for an hour and the foam changes back to liquid and runs out the drain onto the ground under the car. Satisfying job well done, no more nasty smells. I also fitted a new pollen/cabin filter to also prevent re-occurrence.
