  1. It's not 'fatwa', but sounds similar
  2. Phil, The element of ageing that I really appreciate is that I've an increasing number of things to look back on, and more time to do it!
  3. Yup, my father would be incensed, for his belief that 'personal privacy was paramount'. However, the world has changed enormously since the creation of computers and the internet, just as your mobile 'phone provider can track your conversations and your location (and has that history on file too), credit card companies, your bank, PayPal (et Al), your local Council, DVLA, your GP, NHS, HMRC and the Police (for some!) all have instantly recoverable records of all of us. IF data extraction results in fairer processes, decisions and quotes, and those customers whom, what shall I call it, "cheat the system", are rejected, caught out or disadvantaged. I'm all for that.
  4. It's probably been left by a Squab that's been orphaned, and now suffering post-parental shock. The old saying explains: "Every good turd, deserves a mother"
  5. Replacement tyre ASAP boss!
  6. If you look at LexusPartsDirect website, you can get these for (just) under £200 https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/?s=48231-48581&post_type=product&dgwt_wcas=1 but I'm sure that many of our members use spares sites in the USA & Japan and save money doing so, (including extortionate shipping costs
  7. Pat, Welcome to the Forum.... I suggest you should 'have a word' with the Principle of the dealership you used today.
  8. You know what these Italian drivers are like - - they'll drive on the wrong side of the road in an heartbeat! (😉)
  9. I'll blaspheme for a moment........ The 350h NX is ONLY a car! But your health is far far more valuable Ian. Look after your health, regular fluids, proper fuel, and get yourself MOT'd regularly. ((It's worth it!)
  10. Just add some adrenaline to the coffee Malc, I have found it aids reaction speed and the walking stick becomes ever more effective.
  11. That's the sort of information one can't take lying down! 😉 (and thanks for the update, Chris)
  12. Nick, Speak to Tony Banks in Leeds. They can bespoke anything you wish - - and they're first-class fabricators https://www.tonybanks.co.uk/
  13. Can you imagine the situation where a Lexus owner has either sold their car, (however improbable that may be!), or taken out a different Roadside retailer, or forgotten that a direct debit was due, and then kicked up a fuss because money had disappeared from their account (etc etc) I know we should all react in good time to email/text reminders, but I'm amazed at how many folk don't pay proper attention to reminders.
  14. And let's not forget that the car retail market has just undergone (undergoing?) an horrendously difficult sales period, car manufacturing affected badly, few new cars available, and customer incomes unreliable for two years, and now affected by rampant inflation. It's a foolhardy business that doesn't work hard to trim its overheads during such a protracted period of damaged profitability - and even premium brands are not protected from these issues.
  15. Carl, It's quite clear that you are so very upset. And it's a feeling that will live with you for a long time unless you take steps to resolve it. I suggest that you should have a frank and calm discussion with the owner of the dealership, and, if that doesn't put your mind at rest - then escalate the issue and talk to Lexus UK. I hope the issues are resolved and your peace of mind restored.
  16. Get it done Now Reassurance is worth much more than the cost of replacement
  17. It will help if one's completed a four-year-long apprenticeship with Cirque Du Soleil, and one's mastered dry-shaving with a broken bottle whilst in a backward somersault. But don't worry if not (we all have to start somewhere!)
  18. Maybe the key battery was flat too?
  19. Today: - - - - - I ignored the Lexus, and worked in our allotment!
  20. One could suggest that they've a trumpet with a strumpet!
  21. Our Lexus Dealership rep[laces both fob batteries on request on the annual service.😊 It may be wasteful, (?) but I'm never without a working fob.
  22. Food of The Gods
  23. Graham, As a matter of interest - - how much are tracker subs? (I assume they're an annual rental/service figure). I've not a tracker fitted, but am considering it....... Thanks
