  1. I bought, (and used) one of these AA branded solar chargers for many months during the recent two years of COVID (relative) immobility, and it kept the battery well topped up. (Please note that it is unlikely to produce sufficient energy during winter months! (Even in Kent) You should also ensure that your 12v battery is in reasonable condition (or replace with a new one)
  2. I cannot help with your query Paul, (or even make you feel any more comfortable with your washing machine) - but can provide you with the following information. Grundig is owned by Beko, (part of a Turkish conglomerate Arçelik AS, (part of a top 500 company Koç Holding) - a massive business - - and they have launched Grundig as a retailer 'tertiary' brand - - (almost as an 'own label' alternative( I believe that in the UK it is stocked* by Curry's (Curry's/Dixons/PC World/Carphone Warehouse group) (*Possibly exclusively?) The reviews I've found on 't'interweb have not been particularly good, and unfortunately Which Magazine reviews haven't been their most glowing either. NB the Trustpilot reviews website appears to be non-too happy with Grundig either So - it may be that a possible route to chase up your supplies of 'fibre filters' is through your retailer .....
  3. My mpg figures (running on E10 fuel.. Today - 210 miles on A1, steady 70mph - returned 34.3 mpg Last week 120 miles, all in town, up/down hill, loads of traffic lights/slow traffic etc returned 32.5mph
  4. I have to say Jules, that we're rather satisfied with our F-Sport - - and I hope you'll be just as chuffed with yours
  5. What a useful article (post). Wonderful stuff, Pete.
  6. Congratulations Keith! On your early retirement (Honestly - retirement IS great!) And on acquiring a Topdon ArtiDiag800 I look forward to your feedback on the Topdon (and on your retirement - but I won't pry!!!) Enjoy! (both)
  7. braggadocio
  8. Slackbladder
  9. 95% of our driving is local (7 mile trips), (and all the outward journeys are uphill!) and our average this year is 32.2mpg (using E10 fuel). Though I do tend to drive with a light foot.
  10. Three years ago I migrated from a Merc S500 LWB (2000 and £84K new apparently!!) to our 2014 RX F-Sport. Boy - two wholly different driving experiences. The Merc was slightly heavier, slightly quieter, but the overall driving experience of the RX is superior, sits higher on the road of course, but is supremely comfortable, reliable, and a dream to pilot around. My wife feels equally comfortable driving it too - (and we're both 'crinkleys')
  11. Even better (if one can obtain one) is to use a 'pricker' made for a Primus stove. It has a flat handle to hold, and a (seemingly) perfect type of wire for unblocking blocked things!
