    Also If the cars were coming up for sale at half the cost for a comparative UK model then you could maybe see the point . But from what ive seen they are on par or higher pricewise . In conclusion , wait for the right UK spec car to come along . Go on the forum and ask opinions on it and work from there . My advice would beto only consider facelift model post OCT 2005 and try and get one before 21 March 2006 as these are half the tax cost .

    Seems to be part of the RRG Franchise group . Probably cutting costs with the times , but Im not sure what the case is .

    I know this is probably heresy here ................... but you may wish to look at a CRV EX model .I have a 2008 CRV 2.2CTDI EX and it is the most comfortable car I have ever had!!!. I have had since 2004 ...................... IS200. IS250 EX Auto , GS450H SE-L and I have an SC430 facelift at the moment . People perceive they are not as good as Lexus or Volvo ..................but the EX version is so comfortable and practical. My 2008 also has radar cruise and pre crash mitigation , proper lights with AFS and all the toys ................... worth a consideration ...................sorry LEXUS POLICE

    I cleaned mine perfectly with Vanish Liquid & Woolite in a basin of hot water and disconnect the bottom bolt . You can use a clothes peg to stop them retracting back while you are doing it . Soak for a hour or so and then gently scrub with nylon nail brush . Then do it again if needed . finally paper towel dry and remove peg and reconnect the bolt at floor . All this should be avaliable on my post in LW forum " Nicks 2006 Facelift SC"They come up like new .

    Beautiful car Jonathan . And a excellant car at in or around that price . I hope someone who can use it , can buy it here without messing you about . I am retired myself and can just not justify this motorway cruiser . Otherwise I would be offering 10k now ................... Best of luck with sale

    good choice to help the mind meld ! Although I have the mongoose pro . I have a few netbooks from a different time and use them for XP and 7 to operate different motor software from those eras . So get yourself a netbook from the loft and get cracking . !

    It is a possibility that the difference in power between the GS and LS is purely ECU mapping . They might have done it to give the LS more Kudos as the Luxury Sedan Range . That would be my bet .

    Yes its extortionate. Back in 2006 it was $299 . You could not get a cheaper version that worked . The Chinese were just beginning to copy it . The driver never worked right . never mind the firmware . These days its all grand . I bought a cheapie recently just to have a nose ! Its great what you can get now . Makes all jobs easy on the Toyota/ Lexus

    Or if you have loads of money you can buy the approved mongoose pro lead from drewtech . Back 15 years ago you could not buy a reliable mini vci lead ripoff from china so I bought the real macoy . The driver from drewtech is flawless and 64 bit version for win 10 64bit but as I say its very expensive . As Herbie says you still have to DL and install a version of techstream .

    One possibility if auto box is that you have a transmission leak and your level is low and incorrect . I have seen a box with a leaking driveshaft seal which over a period of time has lowered the fluid level to an unacceptable level causing these symptoms

    That was a VERY cheap car in Irish market John . Cars are more expensive in the Irish Republic .If a dealer saw that he may have bought it ...put a few grand on it and resale . just for your info . MyIS250 Executive in 2006 retailed for 61,800€. The same car in UK was under £29000.

    Yes it can still play dvds but also you can put mp3 files into system . A much superior/flexible system to the prefacelift . if you are going for this car make sure you pay for an online check of the car hpi/stolen/ rightoff /insurance CAT etc as it nearly seems too good to be true.If all good then check the battery charges and your good to buy

    You wont find a cheaper one .....ands its facelift with Hard disc sat nav etc ............ snap it up but check the battery first is taking full charge .

    There is also a guy Lawler on LW site who has manual for prefacelift model in PDf and for a small donation to charity may give uyou a copy . allthe torque settigs will be the same . as 2005
