  1. I've taken it the hole screen ( two m10 bolts only and disconnected the two connectors from the back of the unit) and like duotone mentioned above takes about 20-30min to remove the anti glare coating. I actually used "interior wipes" bought for only €1.50 from point shop and used only one wipe for the hole process!! No residue left after cleaning the hole screen!! The screen is literally like brand new also slightly brighter. Can't beat that. Previously asked on Lexus garage for a screen protector replacement and I've been told ....£100!! I didn't mind in the beginning but I realised that the famous scratches problem will just come back very soon hence I decided just to completely remove the anti glare coat myself and be richer with £100 :))))

  4. Hi sliyk, I've a 2015 F-sport which came with same problem when purchased last year. Didn't fixed mine yet also but searched and searched on net and find out that you can buy a new screen from Lexus ( I'm talking about only the screen ..not the hole device 🙂 ) and is quite straightforward to replace it. Can't say how much cost but again can not be too expensive as we talk about the screen protector. I've seen on YouTube a video just last week where a guy replaced it...unfortunately have no link to give you. Try to find it like I said on YouTube
  5. Hi all, I've asked Lexus garage in Belfast for reversing camera upgrade and they told me that 1st need to upgrade to sat nav as my 2015 is300h F-sport model has none of those two...very upsetting! However, I've been told that it's a big job to pull wires all the way from front to back! So, as you can see from the 3 pics uploaded, I decided to take of the boot lid cover myself and to my surprise to see that the wires are there from factory but after stopping to a local car electrician who told me that theres no power whatsoever there left me in the air again. Now, not being good at electrics I'm trying to find help here... I'm not found to do the big job matt8 did to open half of the car just to get new wires pulled and to get a reversing camera especially when I guess that the wires are there already but my question is if anyone can help me or guide me how can I get power on those wires ( it's a 5 pins jack as pictured)? Its either from fuse box or could be behind the radio or even behind the screen? Any thoughts will be much appreciated Peace

  7. Hi all, Lexus does not do this job cheap but it does it for @2k if insisted!! I've asked in Belfast also in Dublin. First reaction from them will be "not possible to add reversing camera if not manufacturer fitted "...and like already said above, if insisted they will actually give you a scary price afterwards!! I've a 2015 F-sport that also came without camera or sat nav also. My local Lexus dealer told me that I need to upgrade sat nav if I want rev cam and gave me price 2000£ :))). Different dealer told me 560£ only for the camera but it's a big job to pull all the wires from the front dash to the boot and I declined the offer. Checking later myself by removing the boot door panel I found that I actually have wired from factory ( couldn't upload picture) which gave me loads of Hope in solving this task so I purchased aftermarket camera from HK at around 30£ but when asked an auto electric shop to fitted he told me that there's no power in those wires whatsoever so left in the air, again, the hole "rev cam" upgrade task. Honestly I've got used already without satnav as the parking sensors do the job just as well but it's a bugger and bit if time to get used as my previously 2008 is220d had revcam also premium Lexus satnav. I'm sure that another 6 months or so from now on will arise loads of cheap ways on-line to upgrade. There's in Canada also in USA few companies who do this upgrade by selling a bunch of wires and connections that can be connected behind the stereo and after a bit of fiddly work at some 250usd + postage but I think is too expensive. Also check on YouTube, there're few options there.
