  1. I must admit I'm sold on the idea of a 10.25 inch screen 😍
  2. Noticed the judder for the 1st time the other day, took me back to driving my Giulia. That would judder virtually all year round. Made tight manoeuvring interesting.
  3. Check for corrosion on the Quad, wheels, wheel caps, boot lip internal welds etc Great cars, but not without issues and dealer service VERY mixed.
  4. @mr2lad has your unit rocked up yet? Where did you purchase it from? Cheers
  5. For me the RCF ticked all the boxes. When it was released I never thought I'd ever be able to own one. I dove an Audi S7, nice car but not for me. I considered a C63, but with numerous design issues (engine) and being notoriously difficult to work on, meaning big labour bills, a smaller fuel tank (plus lower mpg) and big insurance premiums I knocked that idea on the head. BMW (please nobody take offense) but not a chance. The car I really, really wanted was a facelift XKR, but it would have been older, cost the same money and had less practicality. A new Mustang was a 9 month wait, offered only small discounts and has some questionable interior plastics. The RCF is sensible in most respects, doesn't cost the earth to run, won't let me down, can be lairy when I want it to be and most importantly, it's different! I genuinely look forward to every drive and even just starting her up puts a smile on my face. I consider myself very lucky to be able to own such a car and realise its probably going to be the pinnacle of my car ownership, unless I get an LC500 in a few years, but by then we will be all electric 😔 Till then, ceramic coat to come, plus a few more upgrades maybe next year... can't wait 😍
  6. If you got the Quicksilver, cant comment on others, just stick it in D and the exhaust hushes right up, so not too much of an issue. My neighbour had an R8 V10, now that was a different kettle of fish, my windows used to shake on cold starts, but I didnt care 😂
  7. I maybe wrong, but a moon roof and radar cruise, emergency braking assist and blis might be options.... I think the latter were part of a pack. Apologies if I'm wrong.
  8. Great bit of advice. Mine was only advertised on the Lexus used car website.
  9. Got mine in June this year, long term purchase. Absolutely love it, especially with the Quicksilver bolted on. Seats are fantastic and it is a great motorway cruiser or b road bruiser. Fuel econ good should you need it to be and I've never seen another one on the road. Reliability.... it's got an L badge and no air suspension so fingers crossed bulletproof 😆
  10. Now that's a good idea 😂 Unfortunately my quicksilver, carbon fiber and ceramic coat are in reality a few years of presents to me, from me 😄 This head unit will (relatively speaking) future proof the car for a good few years. I just wonder about warranty implications for the radio etc assuming media is covered under the extended warranty?
  11. Easier said than done I guess, how many people (UK at least) will do this mod? It would be nice to have a play with the unit at least, but I won't be ordering anything till next year.
  12. It would appear you have to remove the lower centre console (simple enough) and then remove the radio and the screen. After that it looks plug and play. Would take a little bit of time, but perfectly doable. Would be paranoid about damaging my new CF panel removing it 🙄
  13. Installation complete, I love it, what do you guys think?
  14. Looks a great upgrade and really brings it up to current media standards. I wonder how reliable these units are?
  15. No further info? I need to know how much I need to save and how easy it is to upgrade, it looks too good to not do it!
  16. That looks amazing 😋👍
  17. I obviously had the fronts replaced shortly after and the fitters (even when using protective covers) marked one of the wheels, but did not strip off any paint. I hadn't heard anything from the supplier until today, was pleasantly surprised to read their response. Kudos to them.
  18. Must say that blue takes me back to 1980's interiors when the whole dash would be that colour. I'm not a fan, the steering wheel is just overkill imho
  19. Nottingham is a nightmare for traffic cameras of all varieties. I may have let my right foot slip a couple of times on the M40, that road essentially a race track it seems anyway 😆 The problem is, you just get in the power band and you're already touching naughty speeds. Awesome engine.
  20. Update The tyre supplier has admitted liability and will pay for 80% of the refurb cost at my chosen refurb specialist. 80% being as I had already slightly kerbd the wheel, which is completely fair. Positive outcome. Very good customer service.
  21. Well done on securing a cracking motor! 🤤
  22. Just by way of an update, I've booked in with Lee with for a full paint correction, detail and ceramic. Seems a top bloke and I know he will do a great job. Pics to follow in November.
  23. Another one for main dealer I'm afraid. I wouldn't by a car without full LSH. F cars are so rare, I'm not sure if I've ever seen one on the road, I saw an ISF years ago in the main dealer showroom, but that's it. I took out a 3 year service plan which they kindly knocked 10% off the total plan cost and then i obviously elected to pay monthly. I've even got a service plan on my old RX, but that's as we dont have a local Toyota / Lexus specialist.
  24. They are currently being made by Elvin and should be with me next month. I will post pics once they are installed 😁
